United's now-infamous slogan, "Fly the friendly skies," is being revamped on social media following the company's latest public relations nightmare.

Users took to Twitter Tuesday to post their own ideas of a more suitable slogan for the airline, using the hashtag #NewUnitedAirlinesMottos.

You prefer the kind of doctors who instantly comply with thugs who are acting beyond their authority?

Every article says “airline employees”. Were they flight crew or something else?

You are right. Makes no never mind, actually, except that this ‘doctor’ thing plays so strongly in the outrage and excuses.

The facts still remain that the entire cabin was advised of the airlines rights as published and they would have to ‘choose’ which passengers had to leave and be compensated.

If you think one person’s right to sit in a seat takes precedence over a whole other flight that crew was supposed to serve, then I don’t know what to tell you. Perhaps he could have explained the ‘urgency of is doctoral duties’ and made some progress. My read and viewing of everything says that he was on the phone to his lawyer when he refused police orders to vacate. What happened afterwards will most certainly be litigated to this man’s heart content and he will profit. But my read of his ‘speciality’ in medicine tells me it really had nothing to do with it.

I read that the ones who pulled them off were security that led me to believe actual airport police or some such.

Yeah, but who were the employees that caused the need to remove passangers.

Can you imagine if they had selected a Black Lives Matter activist to drag off the flight?

Geez... it happens. I been there and you aren’t delayed anything but time. Would I have chosen to delay a whole plane the next morning because I said I had to “see patients” the next day? I don’t know, but I think not.

I have yet to see a doctor that would risk screaming like a girl being beaten just for some patients the next day (see the other links on this guy, BTW). Ever. I’d have been on my phone to my lawyer just like this guy - for a big payout....

I just heard a pilot tell Rush that flying is a privilege. I suppose they don’t see getting the fares as a privilege.

If there is a court case, I think that UAL wins by confining it to contract law. The doctor bought a ticket that traded a guarantee on that flight, in exchange for a lower ticket price.

OTOH, UAL may win the battle, but they surely lost the (PR) war.

21st century air flight = steerage class that makes a bus trip look good.

At least the mafia wouldn’t rough you up as long as you paid them. UAL on the other hand....
