Officials said that Pope Tawadros II was inside at the time of attack but was not harmed. According to the Associated Press, the Islamic State group claimed responsibility on Sunday for the attacks.

Pope Francis reacted to the news during his Sunday address.

“May the Lord convert the hearts of those who sow fear, violence and terror,” Pope Francis said after celebrating Mass in St. Peter’s Square, reading from a note handed to him, to which he added: “And that of those who produce and sell weapons.”

“May the Lord convert the hearts of those who sow fear, violence and terror,”

Come on, Frankie. Say the 'M' word. You can do it.

Seems like he’ll never figure out that all his kow-towing to the Muslims has only encouraged them to more aggression and violence.

What!? Has The Pope apologized for his outrageous comment yet?

Who is he to judge? Shoving his religion down other people's throats.

Yes, those who produce and sell weapons are on the same level as terrorists. /s

And how do you confront terrorists? Well, you use weapons sold to you.

This guy has VERY muddled thinking.

He’s an asshole and should lend a hand picking up body parts and mopping up blood. Then maybe he’d get a clue.

You are kind.

I say he’s an evil non-Catholic set on destroying the Church.

The Church was kidnapped by anti - Torah Hellenists who chose to change the Commandments to suit their own desires. What was retained was good and has sustained Western Civilization until recent times; but the Torah is a unity, and cannot be modified without consequences. The inheritance from Israel is gone, and the whole structure is collapsing. The prodigal son must return to Home: The Land, the People and the Scriptures of Israel.

To me he seems like a one world government type. The kind who thinks global technocrats should govern over humanity; global elites should decide where and how you live, and what becomes of your earnings.

This Pope has a politically correct molded conscience. He has forgotten the lessons learned at Lepanto, Malta, and Vienna and just how important the Popes of the day were to galvanize resistance to Islamic aggression. He due to his dereliction is quite a danger to Western culture.

Although all the damage has not yet been undone, I think we can say the United States survived obama, one can hope the Church survives this man.

Why does Islam murder innocents in every nation on Earth?

Don’t want them, don’t need them.

Hatred, Rape and Murder is what they represent.

They are sickening.

Yes his world view isn’t yours or mine. That’s for sure.

A number of his statements have been very poor > IMO.

I agree.

Bergoglio won’t succeed but he’s giving it his best shot.

I realize that my opinion about him is harsh. It wold be nice to make excuses for him while wearing blinders, but I’ve never been able to do that about anything.

Of course I always look at the silver lining and I think it is that the Church will be greatly strengthened by going through his papacy.

:-)

Not to the socialist globalists that put him in place.

The “Pope” is at best a worthless fool but more likely a collaborator with evil.
