and the ‘evidence’ they are using is not factual evidence backed up by credible eye witnesses- it is presented by citizens who may or may not have grudges against their intended victims- so their ‘evidence’ is bogus- but apparently the police don’t care- they use it to harass drivers- It doesn’t matter how’ certified’ the guns are- no amount of certifications can prevent ordinary citizens from exacting revenge by falsely accusing people of breaking the law- Again it is idiotic giving citizens this kind of power to harass, via the police, people they don’t like-

no sir- thep oint is exactly what I’m saying- prove to me that the police won’t abuse/harrass citizens ? You can’t- that is the point- They will claim they have ‘evidence’ that isn’t acceptable evidence- for the reasons stated- You have done zero to counter the issue that people with grudges CAN and WILL abuse their power and make false claims- Showing the police a radar reading is NOT proof someone was speeding- that reading could very well be made up and the cop has absolutely no way to verify- The ‘evidence’ would never be allowed in court and should NEVER be allowed to use to harass citizens with either! What don’t you understand about that? I never once mentioned that court would be involved- I made the statement that the info would never be permissible in court and therefore should not be permissible for the police to use to harass citizens- Address that fact!

The issue is no longer about guesstimates-
the original issue was about citizens abusing their new found power by claiming anything they like- which they WILL do, and which you have not once addressed- Their radar readouts are NOT evidence- Regardless of how many times they get their radar guns ‘calibrated and certified’- there is NO way to Verify if they are telling the truth ot not- As pointed out repeatedly to you-

Had an interesting drive home on Sunday. On a congested interstate between Colorado Springs and Denver, I see this dark blue Maximum drifting left, then right. After a few minutes and several close calls it was clear: that drive was out of it. I tried to stay away but at one point we (the wife and 2 of my kids) were right next to her and when she looked at us, we all came to the same immediate conclusion: drunk off her 20-something a$$.
We, along with a couple other fellow drivers called the state patrol providing her license and description. She was on that road for 30 minutes and I saw her 3 times nearly get rear ended by a truck pulling a horse trailer because she kept stopping. Countless other close calls where the other drivers had to avoid her.
You can call me all kinds of names for that too, but I will continue to make that call. Every single time.
Not at all the same thing. I’d have done as you did. You didn’t have to borrow a bunch of equipment from the police department and then provide a list of alleged offenders to the department for them to then go and send out warning letters...
