The mindset has reached the business world now. One company I worked for twenty years ago went on a violence in the workplace prevention campaign. You couldn’t talk about guns, and if you were even suspected of owning a gun you would be considered to be a potential threat.
This was an engineering company in the Houston, TX area. Yes, Texas.
I’m so glad I was home schooled. I had friends in the local government school and the totally stupid things that went on there was scary. My dad and granddad said they would have been in jail over the stunts they pulled; my granddad used to take his rifle on the school bus because he was on the rifle team. He couldn’t afford a gun sleeve for it so he just held it between his legs until he got to school; put it in his locker until after school and went to the basement range with the rest of the team.
Zero tolerance it is. SUE the school and the district for making available, on the school grounds, a weapon-like object so easily confused for a gun.
Sue them for big monies, send child to private Christian school.

The time has come, indeed it is long since past, to abolish government schools. Education is far too important to let government continue abusing it.

Geez. That is way overdoing it. There are places where having a gun or rifle is a normal part of life for hunting and for protecting themselves or farm animals. It has nothing to do with being some kind of terrorist. I wonder if that company would have no qualms about hiring a Muslim to work there.
