Two guns were found at the Belmont Cragin home of a man who was shot by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent early Monday on the Northwest Side, authorities said.
The allegation surfaced as immigration activists rallied Tuesday outside the home in the 6100 block of West Grand to decry the growing fear in Chicago’s Latino community as a result of the raid and its target, which remains unclear.
A law enforcement source said Tuesday that federal agents recovered the gun that they say the 53-year-old pointed at them as they tried to serve an arrest warrant for his 23-year-old son. Another weapon was found inside the home, the source said. The man’s family says he was unarmed.
The son has a pending felony weapon charge stemming from a February arrest near the home, though it’s unclear whether Monday’s raid was connected to that. He is scheduled to appear for that case in Cook County court on Wednesday.
The wounded man and his wife came to Chicago from Mexico more than 25 years ago and are legal residents, Hallock said. The other six people who were home at the time of the shooting, including three children, are U.S.-born citizens, he said.
Ald. Gilbert Villegas (36th) said a CPD captain told him that city officers knew ICE agents would be in the area, but had no part in the raid until they responded to the shooting. Since then, his office has been flooded with hundreds of calls from residents concerned about immigration agents coming to their door.

The corrupt and complicit Chicago media (allied with Rahm) are trying to spin this story as if the household was filled with innocents and the ICE Agents were conducting themselves like jackbooted Gestapo thugs.
Reading the story in its entirety reveals that there were guns recovered in the home and one resident was already facing felony gun charges in another unrelated case. These items were omitted from the earliest reports on the incident when the Chicago media was blaming ICE.
At this point, I am ALL in favor of arming our ICE agents with the best weapons that money can buy, especially if they can’t count on local police to back them up.
I’m of the opinion that the ICE under Obama was castrated and felt miserable about. Seems to me these guys have a new energetic, patriotic spirit. More power to them in their quest to rid us of these invaders.

what we have is a total breakdown of law and order, and the Democrats are encouraging, and actually doing this.

Also, if man is a legal immigrant, he should be more respectful to immigration officers( who to my understanding can revoke status either with or without cause) with guns.
When illegal alien criminals shoot at Federal ICE agents, what exactly do they expect to happen? Do they expect their Matricula Consular ID is a “Get Out Of Jail Free” card? Good grief, this is nonsense. These are just criminals, nothing more. If they resist deportation with deadly force, then deadly force will be used in return. GET OVER IT, media.
