Hours before the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee announced his shocking claims about surveillance of the Trump transition team on Wednesday morning, he practically disappeared.
Rep. Devin Nunes was traveling with a senior committee staffer in an Uber on Tuesday evening when he received a communication on his phone, three committee officials and a former national security official with ties to the committee told The Daily Beast. After the message, Nunes left the car abruptly, leaving his own staffer in the dark about his whereabouts.
By the next morning, Nunes hastily announced a press conference. His own aides, up to the most senior level, did not know what their boss planned to say next. Nunes’ choice to keep senior staff out of the loop was highly unusual.
The Republican chairman had a bombshell to drop.
“The intelligence community incidentally collected information about U.S. citizens involved in the Trump transition,” Nunes told reporters Wednesday morning.
Nunes reviewed “dozens of reports” produced by the U.S. intelligence community that showed this, he added.

Nunes had to digest what he was told and knew he could not trust anyone with what he was told, not even his own staff.
There is a missile headed for the Dems/Obama Admin members & they are throwing up all the chaff they can muster, trying to lure it off course.
“More than likely he was meeting with a Whistleblower* on very short notice.”
*Didn’t Nunes in one of his recent press conferences say something about protecting the above?
So, he suddenly, practically vanished. MORE IMPORTANT was that he reappeared with startling facts and the prospect of a loaded gun. The fact he felt he had to leave the vehicle and all occupants in the car makes one conclude that he trusts no one...perhaps not even those who work with him/for him.

It’s why the insiders could never allow Trump in the White House and actually stated that on numerous occasions. It would be like bringing in undercover investigator to run your your organized crime syndicate.
Does anyone actually believe the “incidental” part? How CAN anyone believe the “incidental” part? The president who listened in on the leader of Germany and Senators and Representatives and generals?
He is at risk of being whacked. Riding in an Uber raises the risk exponentially.

That's probably why he briefed Speaker Ryan and President Trump in order to protect the informant.

The same reason why Trump drove an unmarked obscure jet into Mexico City for his visit with el presidente. So he wouldn't get blown out of the air.
