House Intel Committee’s top Dem on Friday blasted GOP chairman Devin Nunes after he cancelled Tuesday’s public hearing with members of the Obama administration.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan and former acting Attorney General Sally Yates all had agreed to testify publicly before the committee on what they knew about Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election.
Nunes canceled the public hearing, and then held a news conference to announce President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort had “volunteered” to be interviewed by the committee. That announcement was nothing but a bright shiny light to distract reporters – successfully – from news Nunes had canceled Tuesday’s public hearing with members of the Obama administration, Rep Adam Schiff charged, in a separate news conference that quickly followed Nunes’s.
Schiff suggested the White House had something to do with Nunes’ decision to scrap Tuesday’s open hearing, and did so in reax to Monday’s open hearing. At that hearing, viewers learned from FBI director James Comey that the bureau has, since July, been conducting a counter-intelligence investigation into whether there is any connection between Russia and associates of the Trump campaign.

Nunes said today they was going to be a closed door meeting with these people to talk about classified info...noting to that extent is even mentioned in the article...
Why do we need to hear from these liars again? Do they need another chance to smear Trump? Do the Democrats on the committee need to resucitate the “Russians stole the election” story?
They need to clear the deck for the bombshell regarding surveillance of the Trump transition team by the obama White House that was relieving “unmasked” wire tap transcripts into the WHITE HOUSE itself -—which is a felony!!
Schiff is a stiff, what a whining pencil neck, ugh.
My first thought is/was “Nunes seems like a fairly bright guy, is he clumsily falling all over himself?” and my second thought is/was. “Oh, Yahoo news.”
You really have to be careful what you allow into your brain.
If we want to know what Obama knew and when he knew it, Nunes should subpoena Obama. Duh. As a private citizen outside of government he is supposed to be just another citizen.
No...Schiff id a POS, who is lying his head off, being a “good little soldier” for the Dem & Obama, but he knows ( or should know ), that this “game” is up and is lost!
Did someone threaten Nunes with some of his ‘wire tapped’ communications?
If one listens to the press meeting Nunes had earlier today you can see that Nunes explains that the interviews with Brennan, Clapper, Yates will go on but are postponed to make time for the closed door time with Comey and Rogers. Yahoo lying and misdirecting.

This makes sense. Get the facts about the surveillance from the current Directors, and then see if Brennan, Clapper, Yates
perjure themselves.
Right. Some have thought that Nunes was nervous in that press opportunity and has backed down, and perhaps that’s true, but another way to read his demeanor is that he was being very cautious to inform while at the same time to keep a lid on sensitive information. He said that a number of people have come forward with information, and he wants more people to feel free to do so. Most of the press questions were designed to produce breaking news favorable to the established narrative and Nunes seemed to steer clear for the most part.
The big take away is that Manafort has voluntarily come forward to be interviewed. Manafort and his lawyer are not dummies. They would not be making this offer if they did not think that they could effectively deflate some of the Russian baloney.

Maybe Schiff can opine on his dealings and lobbying efforts with the Ukrainian arms dealer.

Lets hope Comey then is forced to come clean on what Brennen, Clapper and Yates (Lynch) were doing and who signed off on the investigation, dissemination and unmasking of Trump People.
My hunch is someone involved has already went to Nunez looking for a immunity deal

Nunez is working very closely with Trey Gowdy no doubt on planning strategy.

Any connection between Trump and his people and Russia has been hashed out over and over again and nothing has been found
