It Took a Freshman GOP Congresswoman To Pull The Mask From FBI Director Comey…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | March 20, 2017 | Sundance

Posted on 03/20/2017 7:54:30 PM PDT by bobsunshine

Representative Elise M. Stefanik is a young, freshman republican congresswoman from the Albany New York area. And using a probative questioning timeline, she single-handily pulled the mask from FBI Director James Comey, yet no-one seemed to notice.

Obviously Ms. Stefanik has not been in the swamp long enough to lose her common sense.

In the segment of the questioning below Rep. Stefanik begins by asking director Comey what are the typical protocols, broad standards and procedures for notifying the Director of National Intelligence, the White House and senior congressional leadership (aka the intelligence Gang of Eight), when the FBI has opened a counter-intelligence investigation.

The parseltongue response from Comey is a generalized reply (with uncomfortable body language) that notification of counter-intel investigations are discussed with the White House, and other pertinent officials, on a calendar basis, ie. “quarterly”.

With the statement that such counter-intel notifications happen “generally quarterly”, and against the backdrop that Comey stated in July of 2016 a counter-intel investigation began, Stefanik asks:

…”when did you notify the White House, the DNI and congressional leadership”?

This is what I’d like to ask Comey, while he is under oath:

If something is found on a politician, does it always end up in a prosecution? Or, is it ever used to compromise the politician to get him (or her) to vote a certain way? (And remind Comey that he is under oath.)

Why would Gowdy stop her? Too much swamp draining and common sense?

Because Elmer Gantry Gowdy is one of the biggest phonies in D.C.

Comey can try to make all the excuses in the world, but there is no justification for an 8 month lapse in notifying Congress. He had no problem in quickly writing that letter to Congress about reopening the Clinton email case due to the new emails found on Weiner’s laptop.

Can the FBI director be fired? I thought he has a 10 year appointment.

They all have their roles to play. Trey Gowdy’s “official” role appears to be all bark and no bite.

One of the fbi leakers, when asked about Gowdy said, “He supported Marco Rubio for President. That should tell you all you need to know about him.”

Now, I don’t know if this leaker was real, but his answer sounds legit.

Nah, lying during sworn statements to congress are no big deal.

Just ask Eric Holder and James Clapper... And every dem investigated during the Barky regime. There was a book by Christopher Hitches, “No one Left to Lie to,” that was ostensibly about Bill Clinton, but it’s more apropos that it’s for EVERY dem these days.

Watch the last 25 seconds of Comey’s testimony, an unforced error, lame attempt to explain why they did not notify Congress—

“Sometimes we want to keep it tight within the executive branch....”

This guy Comey does not understand that gen Flynn was in THE TRUMP TOWER when he had a phone conversation with the Russian Ambassador? How was it possible to leak Flynn’s conversation unless Trump tower was being surveiled?

This is technically correct although they would say the “target” of the eavesdropping was not in Trump Tower - i.e. the Russian ambassador was somewhere else. However, it is absolutely clear that an American citizen was monitored and then to add insult to injury the conversation was allegedly transcribed, distributed throughout the Obama administration (thanks to a weird change of policy in the final days), and then this transcript was leaked to the media for partisan purposes.

If this does not fit the very definition of eavesdropping I don’t know what would.

Needs repeating

Comey testified that the FBI “has a practice of quarterly briefing based on the sensitive cases”, but that no Notice was given in this case,”Because of the sensitivity of the matter”.

Boom.

Perjury.

From what I understand, Flynn was not in Trump Tower when his phone was tapped. In fact I recently read a report that he was in another country when one of the phone calls was made.

“...so we have to learn how to navigate that, in a good way.”

THAT is his excuse?!

He needs better protocols and guidance from Congress?!
