Skip to comments. It Took a Freshman GOP Congresswoman To Pull The Mask From FBI Director Comey…

Representative Elise M. Stefanik is a young, freshman republican congresswoman from the Albany New York area. And using a probative questioning timeline, she single-handily pulled the mask from FBI Director James Comey, yet no-one seemed to notice.
Obviously Ms. Stefanik has not been in the swamp long enough to lose her common sense.
In the segment of the questioning below Rep. Stefanik begins by asking director Comey what are the typical protocols, broad standards and procedures for notifying the Director of National Intelligence, the White House and senior congressional leadership (aka the intelligence Gang of Eight), when the FBI has opened a counter-intelligence investigation.
The parseltongue response from Comey is a generalized reply (with uncomfortable body language) that notification of counter-intel investigations are discussed with the White House, and other pertinent officials, on a calendar basis, ie. quarterly.
With the statement that such counter-intel notifications happen generally quarterly, and against the backdrop that Comey stated in July of 2016 a counter-intel investigation began, Stefanik asks:
when did you notify the White House, the DNI and congressional leadership?

Did Comey perjur himself before congress then? It sounds like it.
He lied. Demonstrably. Go get him. Sick of this weasly hack ruining the FBI.
Elise Stefanik is one sharp-minded Congresswoman!
This guy Comey does not understand that gen Flynn was in THE TRUMP TOWER when he had a phone conversation with the Russian Ambassador? How was it possible to leak Flynn’s conversation unless Trump tower was being surveiled?
FIRE COMEY, MR. PRESIDENT. Or eat this coup d’ tat !! What the hell are you doing???
Detectives will tell you...it’s always the timeline that trips up the perps during questioning. I’m thinking Comet doesn’t have a lot of field time.
If he was sworn in he did. I do not trust Comey as far as I can throw the Statue of Liberty.
Looks like Comey let his guard down and got stuck in a honey trap. LOL.
Comey perjury bump for later.....
A commenter over at Treehouse mentioned that when she was asking these questions, Gowdy turned to look at her (perhaps to intimidate her?) because people knew where she was going. She stopped her line of questioning.
I think she’ll have two opportunities to question Comey over the next few days. I wonder if she’ll continue down this path to get real answers, or if she’ll have been “dealt with”. (Or maybe she’ll fall victim to a nasty accident tonight or tomorrow.)
Uh, it’s not nerve that they are lacking, it’s something much more tangible, testosterone, and spines. Republicans are faireys, wimps, and nancy boys.
Why would Gowdy stop her? Too much swamp draining and common sense?
“Why would Gowdy stop her? Too much swamp draining and common sense?”
Not sure why that comment was there. Maybe Gowdy is as much of a swamp creature as the others and he didn’t like her meddling. Or... maybe the commenter was reading something in to nothing.
But I’m going with what you said, “Too much swamp draining and common sense.” These freshmen Senators are probably pretty naïve and want to do a good job. Maybe they just haven’t been clued in to how the game is played, and when they need to STFU.
Comey testified that the FBI “has a practice of quarterly briefing based on the sensitive cases”, but that no Notice was given in this case,”Because of the sensitivity of the matter.
My God, WHY did she not follow up on that lie...even the media would have been forced to report it, and for all his fake bluster, even Trey Gowdy, sitting right next to her, would have become enraged.
