President Donald Trump told reporters that a “big fat beautiful negotiation” was underway on the proposed house health care bill, after a growing number of conservatives have voiced dissent with the effort. “We’re negotiating with everybody,” Trump said. “It’s a big fat beautiful negotiation and hopefully we’ll come up with something that’s going to be really terrific.”
Trump made his remarks during a meeting with his cabinet at the White House — although four of them have yet to be confirmed by the Senate.
During remarks to reporters, Trump thanked Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for working “around the clock” on the effort to replace the Obamacare bill.
“I think that ultimately the big beneficiary will be the American people,” Trump said.
A handful of Republican Senators have signaled that they will not support the bill, raising questions about the bill’s ability to pass. Members of the House Freedom Caucus have also signaled that they will not vote for the bill as it currently stands.

Trump is a good man . He got hooked into this socialism based on false statement from the Rinos. I really think he should take over with a free enterprise for healthy people and a VA type safety net for very poor people . We need a high risk pool for prexisting and GET THEM OUT OF THE NORMAL INSURANCE POOLS. Why should we pay for that. You don’t buy insurance on your car after its wrecked!!

I don’t like him interjecting “hopefully” into the statement.
Reminds me of 2010 when there were a handful of Dem Senators who wanted to grandstand.
They were bought off with projects for their state. These will be too.

That actually means he’s hearing the unhappiness with RINOcare.
That’s part of his respecting the co-equal branches. He’s very careful not to appear as though he’s railroading Congress. He seems to be messaging here that the actual patients aren’t being represented yet, just the insurers and practices.
Nothing wrong with being hopeful.
Gotta remember we are dealing with the GOP, and all we can do with those guys is hope, because they are ****in’ worthless.

The RATS will start using “Trumpcare” when they can . “Obamacare” will never be used by them again and all the blame and ownership will be placed on Trump and the Republicans.
If repeal fails, it will still be “Obamacare”.

Trump literally wrote the book on negotiation.
I hope he sticks to his promises, because if so then the new bill should be good. If he caves, or if he forgets who he’s negotiating for, then it will be a mistake.
I think this is going to be far far far more interesting then we thought I think Trump has a unique method to his madness
... remember this is a guy that lived for years in multi-sided negotiations
We now see all the camps inside the GOP now. Trump of anyone knows that he was fought tooth-and-nail by a good chunk of the Republican establishment
We see of the GOP who really was intending to try and repeal Obamacare versus who that really didn’t want to do anything but paying lip service
This may sound odd but I think Trump wanted this chaos right now ....it’s art of the deal stuff...Trump playing good cop bad cop.
Let Ryan GOPe (the perpetrator bad guy) offer their Healthcare lite up...Trump plays good cop with them ....then Rand Paul Ted Cruz and the other conservatives play bad cop
So Trump is playing the ringmaster good cop between the GOPe “bad guys” and the conservatives GOP “bad cop”.... Trump effectively is the arbitrator and doesn’t get stuck in the squabbling that’s going on in the Congress...
Reason I say this is I don’t see Trump twisting anybody’s arm really hard either way.... he’s being more mediator arbitrator between the sides he’s not twisting arms he’s being friendly to everybody
Like Trump said it’s a great big beautiful negotiation and he loves that kind of thing that’s his element that’s his sweets spot that’s his home and I sincerely believe he believes this kind of hashing out you get the very best deals that works for everybody
Like I said don’t take things at face value yet I think there’s something interesting going on here and Trump’s a lot more sophisticated strategy going on than we think
