DHS head: Trump Has ‘convincing’ Wiretap Proof

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly says President Trump possesses credible evidence that former President Barack Obama ordered the wiretapping of Trump Tower in New York City last year.

Trump claimed on Twitter last Saturday that Obama had his “wires tapped” in Trump Tower before Election Day last year, making the accusation without offering any evidence.

“If the president of the United States said that, he’s got his reasons to say it,” Kelly said Monday on CNN’s “The Situation Room." "[Trump’s] got some convincing evidence that that took place.”

Kevin Lewis, a spokesman for Obama, said last Saturday that Trump’s claims about the former president are “simply false.”

“A cardinal rule of the Obama Administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice,” he said in a statement.

"As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen.”

White House spokesman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Sunday an investigation of Trump’s wiretapping claims should be included in any probe of ties between the president’s 2016 bid and Russia.

FBI director James Comey asked the Department of Justice to disavow Trump's claims that Obama ordered a wiretap, according to a New York Times report.

If Comey suspects it was Loretta Lynch who had Trump wire-tapped at the behest of 0dunga, then it makes sense for Comey to ask the DOJ to reject Trump's claim.

Well, 'crickets' over at the DOJ would reaffirm Comey's suspicions, but maybe Sessions isn't ready to confirm it publicly.

Oh yeah and, remember that meeting between Loretta and Bill on that aircraft on the tarmac??? Was she passing illegally obtained wiretap intelligence on the Trump campaign to Bill to give to the Hillary campaign?

Personally, I think it was GCHQ that vacuumed up the intercepts at Trump Tower, then made it available to the USA Intel which, thanks to Obama's last-minute EO, turned around making it available to everyone for the damaging leaks.

Here's an interesting question: Why did the head of GCHQ abruptly resign a couple days after Trump's inauguration?

McCain is strangely silent

Yes he is. This blowhard has a hard on for the cameras but he has gone limp. Me thinks he is behind all this and will be implicated and his Hero and Maverick status will be ruined.

Napolitano was on FnF this morning. According to him, the POTUS can indeed order surveillance on any citizen WITHOUT a FISA request. This would be through the NSA, the FBI however needs a warrant.

Also, Mook was on as well and he basically admitted oops...that russian agents were tapped...however...his defense is that only the russian agents were tapped. lol

My head is spinning

The overriding cardinal rule of the Obama administration was to always lie about everything.

Will the Democrats then just will blame the Russians for “interferring” in the 2018 election and costing them seats?

Kelly says that Obama ordered the wiretap and there is evidence.

Kelly "aint gonna" say that unless he has the hard evidence. Obama, Valarie Jarret and Loretta Lynch might like living in Dubai.

No matter what happened, the Obama spokes person is not denying that Trumps conversations were listened to. He is denying that “Obama ordered a wiretap”. And he did not go farther than that. Which implies that Trump is close but not 100% accurate.

This is the modern day version of “ is / is “ and “ never alone” Clintonian defense...

They weasel word this stuff to cover the real intent. Take out The Donald and elect the Witch who has probably been sharing part of her gains with Barry O

Scenario

Barry O to Hillary after he won Presidency.

Well Hill you didn’t win the presidency but heres the deal. You become SOS and can use your foundation to get major $$$. Just don’t forget to “ wet my beak”

Wikileaks explained what is likely to have happened. Wikileaks described hacks that turn cell phones, smart TVs, Ipads and the like as listening devices that are turned on. Their microphones are turned on and the stream of audio is sent to an outside severer through a web-site. Now this is not a Wiretap. But the CIA is listening to everything.

So looking at everything we can see that wiretaps are very old technology. Clapper and Obama can clearly say that wiretaps were not used. When Trump gets the statement right, it will be something like; “The Federal Government under the Obama administration listened and/or recorded members of the Trump campaign before and after the election.”

Be that as it may, I think everyone understood Trump’s meaning when he used the layman’s term “wiretap”....

I understand that Trump understood he was being listened to. And he called it a wiretap which is a widely understood term. But the denial from the Obama CIA and the Obama administration was against the word “ordered” and the word “wiretaps”. The wikileaks shows us why both of those denials may be precisely true. But they are not functionally true. If Trump restates his accusations. The denial would have to change, or be redacted.

Also, the word “ordered” could possibly be changed to “authorized” or “approved”...

Nah.....Comey is definitely playing the ‘I was ignorant of what was going on, they hid it from me’ when all of this goes down. He probably knew but didn’t want to get involved so he’s trying to wash his hands of it
>

He’s already shown that he won’t do his job vs. Law.

Playing the game above, he’s either as guilty or ignorant. Either way, not fit for the job; and the former eligible for grey-bar hotel time.

Great analysis.

I think the most likely case is that 0vomit/Hitlery got wiretap info from the Brits. That way they could say they didn’t order it.

Also, someone with power doesn’t have to explicitly “order” things he wants. If 0vomit says “A hamburger would sure taste good right about now” you can be sure that someone brings him a burger without him explicitly saying “go get me a burger”.

It’s going to be interesting to see what sort of relations we end up having with the Brits if they were involved in this. I haven’t been paying close attention, but I seem to recall some odd behavior by Theresa May and maybe some others with respect to Trump after the election.
