Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly says President Trump possesses credible evidence that former President Barack Obama ordered the wiretapping of Trump Tower in New York City last year.
Trump claimed on Twitter last Saturday that Obama had his “wires tapped” in Trump Tower before Election Day last year, making the accusation without offering any evidence.
“If the president of the United States said that, he’s got his reasons to say it,” Kelly said Monday on CNN’s “The Situation Room." "[Trump’s] got some convincing evidence that that took place.”
Kevin Lewis, a spokesman for Obama, said last Saturday that Trump’s claims about the former president are “simply false.”
“A cardinal rule of the Obama Administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice,” he said in a statement.
"As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen.”
White House spokesman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Sunday an investigation of Trump’s wiretapping claims should be included in any probe of ties between the president’s 2016 bid and Russia.

Well, 'crickets' over at the DOJ would reaffirm Comey's suspicions, but maybe Sessions isn't ready to confirm it publicly.
Oh yeah and, remember that meeting between Loretta and Bill on that aircraft on the tarmac??? Was she passing illegally obtained wiretap intelligence on the Trump campaign to Bill to give to the Hillary campaign?
Me thinks WikiLeaks may be behind some of this evidence Trump may possess.

Yeah, Comey is hard to pin down...apparently he’s walking a tightrope between both sides.

Balls? He had a prima facia case and did nothing. And he ran out a week before and announced she was squeaky clean. he was working to help her and expected her to win. hes a coward.
And he never spent a day as a cop in his life until he took over FBI. I bet he doesn’t even carry a pistol now.
Nah.....Comey is definitely playing the ‘I was ignorant of what was going on, they hid it from me’ when all of this goes down. He probably knew but didn’t want to get involved so he’s trying to wash his hands of it
They are not denying that Trump was spied on. They are only denying that Obama “ordered” a “wiretap”. This is the world of getting something 99% right is still getting it wrong. Obama could have allowed the wiretap. His people could have asked for it and he wanted it. With his consultations, it was ordered by someone else.
It’s possible that it was not necessarily a wiretap. It could have been some other listening device. Its also possible that he got the agency wrong or the country wrong. Others have suggested that England did the wiretapping for the CIA, so as to not break US laws.
No matter what happened, the Obama spokes person is not denying that Trumps conversations were listened to. He is denying that “Obama ordered a wiretap”. And he did not go farther than that. Which implies that Trump is close but not 100% accurate.
Well, Comey is still standing and zero/HRC are not.
