Mexico upset that returning illegals are speaking English
americanthinker ^ | March 4, 2017 | Ed Straker

Isn't it irritating when foreigners come into a country in large numbers and refuse to speak the native language? It is irritating to Mexicans, who find that some deported illegals who return home are speaking English!

.....It really interrupts the economic and social norms of Mexico[.] ... They speak English, and they're asking for access to higher education and to employment in ways that their parents were not able to.

What's next? "Barrios" or "neighborhoods" where all the signs are in English? Will people have to "press 1" to speak to someone in Spanish?

....."Many of these people come not knowing how to speak Spanish," said Amalia García, secretary of Mexico City's labor department.

Illegals returning to Mexico do receive a warm welcome, at least in the beginning.

.....Welcome back!" a government worker called out. As they filed into Mexico City International Airport, government employees handed them free ham-and-cheese sandwiches, Mexican ID cards and information directing them to social services.

Free ham and cheese and social services! Next thing you know, Mexico will become a welfare magnet!

... the loss of remittances from the United States – Mexico's second-largest source of revenue at roughly $25 billion last year – could have devastating effects, particularly in rural areas.

.....Not liking their chances here, several of the men made a beeline toward a nearby bus terminal to find a way back to the border.

Questions for discussion:

Will every deported illegal alien get his own article in the Washington Post, or just the ones who didn't kill Americans while driving drunk on the road?

Do you think that even once, you will ever see an article about the deportation of illegal aliens from the perspective of an American who benefits from the enforcement of the law?

Being pulled upwards in your society as opposed to our society being pulled downward is a good thing.

I sincerely doubt Mexico will spend billions of their dollars to English up their stores, schools, hospitals and businesses like America did.

Mexico has been able to avoid the consequences of not having jobs by sending people to the USA to work, and to send money back. That way Mexico can pretend to have a working country, while in fact it is a failure.

What’s wrong with them speaking English? I am sure tourism could use some people with that talent.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Looks like the federales are getting nervous——having to repatriate these people is going to upset their lavish lifestyles.

In the US, the Mexicans rode the US gravy train to beat the band.....in Mexico there’s no such thing....not even a safety net for the poor and destitute.

By contrast, stories about intl gambling venues say Mexicans are right up there....the big bettors along w/ the billionaire Saudis and Asians.

The contrast is astounding.

Mexico likes to depict itself as a needy state forced to pitch its poor over the border. US tax dollars pour in for scads of “humanitarian needs.”

I don’t think US taxpayers like the idea that their taxes are supporting lavish lifestyles and gambling.

The secret plan to colonize Mexico is in place and is working. When a sufficient number of Anglophone residents have returned and resettled, the next step shall be to turn ALL of Mexico into a territory similar to Puerto Rico, and as the various provinces of Mexico achieve what may be termed to be satisfactory progress toward becoming a candidate for statehood, they shall be taken into union with the existing United States of America.

Canada, you’re next. Just get the Quebecois to speak English as a first language.

If Mexican officials complain, find some snot-nosed Mexican politician to say to them, “That’s not who we are.”

Giving Mexico their people back is the single best thing that could happen to Mexico, as well as to other countries south of the border.

It is said that "the strong give up and leave, but the weak give up and stay."

If true, it means that it was Mexico's most motivated who left, essentially being siphoned out of the of the Mexican economy to supplement America's, but at the expense of Mexico and American citizens to benefit only the few at the very top.

Personally, I think Mexicans, who came here based upon the generous welcome from BOTH political parties, now have grounds for a class action law suit, as do we citizens who have also suffered from the parties having abandoned their sworn Constitutional duty to defend our mutual border.
