Federal employees know exactly what they may discuss. If they deviate, they leak, and should be terminated. Period.

This is a VERY healthy change in the environment.

Contrary to popular, ignorant beliefs...and much to the chagrin of Reuters and their fellow media outlets...this is a fundamental building block of team cohesion and leads to common effort.

Nobody wants to be part of a team where they cannot trust the guy next to him, down the hall or in the next state. Always worrying they are going to undermine esprit de corps and make any/all endeavors and foibles the subject of public ridicule.

This is trash that must be taken out. And the help of honest, loyal employees is required to achieve it.

These efforts have a cascading effect. Once you nail, hard, a couple of bad guys, the good people come aboard and help you eliminate the rest.

Several officials in different agencies who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity said some employees fear their phone calls and emails may be monitored and that they are reluctant to speak their minds during internal discussions.

What do these jerks think happens in the business world? It is well known, that all emails and internet surfing can be monitored by your company. If you are a trader, customer service employee, etc., your phone conversations are recorded. IOW, dumbass civil servants you are idiots and should be fired.

"....Trump aides’ bid to plug leaks creates unease among some civil servants...."

And rightly so. "Uneasy" civil servants is not a problem high up on the list of things Trump needs to be concerned with right now. Let them shake in their boots, for all I care.

Finding the security breaches and national security leakers among them, is the pressing problem.

And well it should. They should have put out resumes to the private sector or to whichever foreign government they would rather work for, or in some cases, query the home org about positions as suicide bombers.

Not having enough replacements ready to go is not an excuse. The country will get along with a DOJ or an EPA on one tenth staff or no staff for a few months then can abide the learning curve for another year. Better, except for DOJ, State, andWarDefense, and Treasury, all the agencies should be quickly and totally abolished. Trimming them, while it gives some relief for the short term is no good for the long term. They will be puffed back up by the next administration to be larger and worse than they have been.

“The federal government employs many who are otherwise unemployable.”

That’s a fact. Before Trump got elected, a small number of hand-wringers on FR insisted that the federal bureaucrats would rise up, declare martial law and ship us off to the camps.

When I invited these snowflakes to walk through any federal bureaucracy and tell me how comfortable they’d be leading these Jabbas and AA fatties onto a battlefield, I never got a reply.

So, not only are these federal Humpty-Dumpties unemployable, they wouldn’t last a minute against American patriots.

Idiots. When I started worked at a large corporation in the 60s, we were told straight up in the first day of training that our phone calls would be monitored at random times. We would never know which call was being listened in on.
