A group of enraged protesters exploded in anger after a chaplain prayed in the name of Jesus at a town hall meeting in Louisiana hosted by U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy.
The verbally abusive crowd also heckled a Vietnam War veteran who attempted to lead the group in the pledge of allegiance.
It was one of the most heinous acts of un-American, anti-Christian behavior Ive ever seen, folks.
Louisiana State chaplain Michael Sprague and the unidentified Vietnam War veteran should be commended for maintaining their composure in the face of such verbal barbarism.
The Feb. 22 town hall meeting in Metairie was quickly overrun by the angry mob much like other town hall meetings hosted by Republican lawmakers across the country.
The mainstream media would have us believe the unruly demonstrations are part of an organic, grassroots effort.
But I sincerely doubt many in the mob were actually residents of Louisiana because I know the good people of Louisiana, and nobody behaves like that in the Bayou State.
Folks are raised right in Cajun Country. Theres no way anybody would embarrass their mommas by acting the fool in public.
Id be willing to bet a cup of Community Coffee that the Jesus-hating rabble-rousers were shipped in from some God-forsaken place like Berkeley or Brooklyn.
Chaplain Sprague had barely invoked the name of the Almighty when the heckling began.
Pray on your own time. This is our time, someone shouted. Amen. Lets get on with it.
Others chanted Separation of church and state and so on and so forth. Someone filmed the prayer and words do not do justice to the amount of hate directed at the chaplain.
Ive never been shouted down throughout a time of prayer like that, Chaplain Sprague told me. Ive never been in a situation like that. Its sad there wasnt honor and respect for God.
But they became absolutely unhinged when he concluded his prayer in the name of Jesus.
Wow, they booed the name of Jesus, Cassidy said in remarks reported by the Times-Picayune.
I thought several of the agitators were going to spontaneously combust.
The chaplain said the overwhelming majority of people in the room were causing a disruption, but he harbors no ill will toward the mob.
Im not mad at people. My heart is bigger than that, he said. My hearts prayer is that everybody be treated with dignity and respect.
The chaplain was especially disappointed by how the mob insulted the Vietnam War veteran.
There was a lot of shouting. Some turned their backs. Many didnt stand or put their hand on their heart, he said.
Infuriating, but not surprising
Liberals have a strong aversion to President Trump, Jesus and Old Glory.
But I still have hope in America.
Is it possible that liberals will one day pledge allegiance to the flag instead of burn the flag? Is it possible that liberals will one day revere the name of Jesus? Is it possible that liberals will one day respect President Trump?
I am hopeful, but to be honest, it would take a miracle of biblical proportions.
And I doubt if any of them were Republicans. Republican Louisianans would have kicked their butts.
Wow, they booed the name of Jesus, Cassidy said in remarks reported by the Times-Picayune.
Demons howl in pain at the mere mention of the Name of Jesus.
It’s almost like the fringe, activist Left that attends these things is insane or something.
They sounded like demons doused with holy water
Little do they know that there will be a day they WILL BOW and CALL HIM LORD!!

Makes the devil mad mad mwd!
“Demons howl in pain at the mere mention of the Name of Jesus. “
I was about to say the same thing!
ALL Republican town halls need to be opened with prayers... maybe even a silver cross to flash quickly at the mob...
Demons don’t like the name of Jesus.
Avert your eyes. They may take on other forms.
For these stacked town halls, if any intend to pray or call on the name of Jesus, it would be an act of Christian charity to issue a “trigger warning” for the benefit of the demon possessed and any Satan worshippers in attendance.
This is normal and standard for Democrats. It’s what they are.
its like a scene from “The Exorcist.”
Imagine the reaction if someone sprinkled them with holy water???
The historical illiteracy and ignorance of today’s so-called “progressive” regressives is astounding.
The same Jefferson who believed and advised a young man that each individual should use reason to question even the existence of God, also penned our Declaration of Independence which, he insisted, merely reflected “the American mind” of the time and included references to God in four distinct manifestations, as Creator, as the Laws of Nature and of Natures God, as Divine Providence, and the Supreme Judge of the World.
In others of his writings, on another aspect of religious belief, he stated that Jesus “preached philanthropy and universal charity and benevolence,” that “a system of morals is presented to us [by Jesus], which, if filled up in the style and spirit of the rich fragments he left us, would be the most perfect and sublime that has ever been taught by man.”
He wrote, “His [Jesus] moral doctrines...were more pure and perfect than those of the most correct of the philosophers...and they went far beyond both in inculcating universal philanthropy, not only to kindred and friends, to neighbors and countrymen, but to all mankind, gathering all into one family, under the bonds of love, charity, peace, common wants, and common aids,” which, Jefferson said, “will evince the peculiar superiority of the system of Jesus over all others.”
Comparing the Hebrew code which, according to Jefferson, “laid hold of actions only,” “He [Jesus] pushed his scrutinies into the heart of man; erected his tribunal in the region of his thoughts, and purified the waters at the fountain head.”
That Jefferson cut out the statements which he believed could be directly attributable to Jesus, pasted them into a little book which he kept by his bed for personal reading, might lead one to conclude that his political philosophy may possibly have been influenced by what he considered to be the superiority of the “philosophy” of Jesus. Of that little volume, he stated in a letter to Charles Thomson in 1816, ...[I]t [the Jefferson Bible] is a document in proof that I am a real Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus, very different from the Platonists, who call me infidel and themselves Christians and preachers of the gospel, while they draw all their characteristic dogmas from what its author never said nor saw.
It is unlikely that any person alive today has read the writings of as many of the great philosophers as Jefferson. His talents and abilities were legend. His devotion to liberty and to the ideas essential to liberty were based on simple principles, some of which, undoubtedly, came from his understanding of the basic law underlying all human law: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
No man has a natural right to commit aggression on the equal rights of another; and this is all from which the laws ought to restrain him. - Jefferson 1816
possessing a chosen country, with room enough for our descendants to the hundredth and thousandth generation, entertaining a due sense of our equal rights to the use of our own faculties, to the acquisitions of our industry, to honor and confidence from our fellow citizens. . . enlightened by a benign religion, professed, indeed, and practiced in various forms, yet all of them inculcating honesty, truth, temperance, gratitude, and the love of man; acknowledging and adoring an overruling Providence, which. . . proves that it delights in the happiness of man here and his greater happiness hereafter with all these blessings, what more is necessary to make us a happy and prosperous people? Jefferson - 1801
They are probably part of the occult/spell thing where they are casting spells on Trump.
As another FReeper suggested these townhalls should check driver’s licenses and not let in anyone that doesn’t reside in the area. Doesn’t eliminate the problem but might reduce it somewhat.
Thanks for the link.
