The State Department legal office prepared a four-page memo for Secretary of State Rex Tillerson warning of the dangers of leaking by State Department employees. It promptly leaked, to me. Thats only the latest sign that the relationship between the Trump administration political appointees and the State Department professional workforce is still very much a work in progress.
The Feb. 20 memo by State Department acting legal adviser Richard Visek to Tillerson is entitled SBU: Protecting Privileged Information. The SBU stands for Sensitive But Unclassified, a designation used on documents that are not technically secret but also not supposed to be shared. The memo itself is marked SBU and begins with detailed explanation of how and when Tillerson has the privilege of protecting certain types of information from public disclosure, such as anything that has to do with internal State Department deliberations.
But the bulk of the memo is devoted to arguments for clamping down on unauthorized disclosures of sensitive information, also known as leaking.
When such information is leaked It chills the willingness of senior government officials to seek robust and candid advice, which ultimately is to the detriment of informed policymaking and the reputation of the institution from which the leak emanated, the memo states.
State Department officials unhappy with a policy have many perfectly good alternatives to leaking, the memo argues. The can participate in the policy process as it develops or convey their concerns about a policy afterwards to their co-workers, supervisors or department leadership.

Hope that was issued to multiple suspect leakers with minor word changes
Let firings continue until morale improves. With each firing my morale improves
That only means there will need to be more Deep State scum flushed down the toilet in the next four years.
So they are in rebellion. Address it.
Arrest and jail. That will put an end to that nonsense.
So they are in rebellion. Address it.
Have to find them first.
THIS is what False Flags are for.
I would have people lined up in hand cuffs for federal court for security violations. Hard prison time.
Trump needs to lop off a few heads and snap the government back into reality.
That whole cesspool needs to be sent right to the garbage disposal. It has been the source of so many of America’s problems in the past it isn’t even funny.
This bull- has to stop.
Donnie has to find the leakers and purge them from the system.
A friend of mine works in Washington, he said the State dept. is filled with gays. When I heard that, I was like “Gee, wherever could the leaks be coming from then?” You got to be kidding me, so in other words the state dept is filled with Hillary worshippers and we all got a bunch of Bradley Mannings going into their little gay snits and releasing all this stuff, wonderful.
He he...ye old canary ploy
I hope they are trapping the vermin. Then, multiple lawsuits at once, in a deluge, with ratting out deals available.
"It makes sense that Tillerson would want to show a White House very paranoid about leaks that he runs a tight ship."
The definition of paranoia does NOT fit.
PARANOIA- a mental condition characterized by delusions of persecution, unwarranted jealousy, or exaggerated self-importance, typically elaborated into an organized system. It may be an aspect of chronic personality disorder, of drug abuse, or of a serious condition such as schizophrenia in which the person loses touch with reality.
suspicion and mistrust of people or their actions without evidence or justification: the global paranoia about hackers and viruses.
The leaks are REAL and the guerilla war with embedded opponents in the bureaucracy and Control-LEFT media continues.
Apparently the bloodbath needs to continue.
Close the state department for 90 days. No visas, passports, nada. Fire everyone and reclassify State Department jobs as Top Secret. Make them reapply for their jobs after taking a polygraph. They will either be rehired on the spot, or not.
They can accomplish this within 90 days. Questions should be easy to create. Then I would go agency to agency and do the same thing. If more than 10% of an agency fails the polygraph, the entire agency is shut down.
The SBU stands for Sensitive But Unclassified, a designation used on documents that are not technically secret but also not supposed to be shared.
SBU - Should Be Understood >>public school definition
An attack by a foreign enemy has the intent of overthrowing the sitting government.
If the actions of an agency do not respect duly elected officials, we do not have a constitutional republic any more than if we had been invaded by a foreign enemy.
As such, it’d be worth it to close such an agency and start over, just like you would kill all members of an invading army.
Convert a mobile blood donation bus into a “Truth or Consequences” bus.
There have been no firings at State, except for the overtly political appointees that would change with any new president.
Around two dozen career foreign service and civil service personnel in the management office have been ‘reassigned’ to other State Department duties.
The only bloodbath at State was in clickbait headlines.
