RUSH: Audio sound bite time. This was Fox Business Network late yesterday afternoon, the program Countdown to the Closing Bell. The fill-in host Ashley Webster, a guy speaking with Pacer ETFs Distributors President Sean OHara about the economy and Trump. Question: Theres a lot of sentiment and emotion as part of this stock market rally I think in the sense of optimism, Sean. Do you think thats well based? I mean, it just seems that business optimism, consumer optimism, housing market slowly turning around, its all pointing in the right direction.
OHARA: Optimism begets more optimism. The market seems on a tear. I was listening to something on the radio on the way down here. I was listening to Rush Limbaugh, and he said something which is right, which is obviously Rush is always right, but he said, look, Donald Trump is up against so much resistance here, not only from Democrats, but also from people in his party. So if theyre not gonna cooperate with him, hes not gonna get what he wants done, and that could be a big problem. But just like they did in the primaries and the election, I dont think anybody should discount the president, especially Mr. Trump. He will, I think by sheer force of will, play the game his way and get what he wants to get done.
RUSH: Right. And dont leave his cabinet out of this. Donald Trump has put together one of the strongest, best cabinets. And Im telling you, these people are committed to this agenda. And, you know, H. R. McMaster, national security adviser, do you know what the Drive-By narrative on this is? This is so comical. Well, this is good. This is good because now this guy will tell Trump when to shut up. This guy will tell Trump when he doesnt know what hes talking about. This guy will protect us. This guy will tell Trump that hes stupid and an idiot. And this guy will tell Steve Bannon to get the hell out of the room.
They cant get it into their heads whos calling the shots. On one hand over here Trump is this giant Godzilla thats come in and just stomping all over everything and on the other hand hes this idiot narcissist fool that doesnt know anything and all of his advisers are running the show.
Trump did not successfully run multi billion dollar enterprises without knowing how to hand pick excellent people to advise him. He knows what he’s doing.
The media can’t get their teeny little minds around it because they’ve never seen it before. And they don’t want to see it now.
That’s right...They don’t yet realize that Trump is NOT a “professional politician”.....
Also, Trump knows business and he is quickly learning politics. He knows that America cannot compete with other countries on labor costs. Actually, he was elected on the promise to keep or restore good paying American jobs. But where America can compete is on energy. We have the capability to be an energy superpower, independent of other nations. We’ve had that capability all along but our politicians were bribed by foreign interests to avoid such a policy.
That, along with lifting the most oppressive and absurd environmental regulations, are the two key components to American economic recovery and Trump is pursuing both with a single-minded determination.
I picked Trump to win before the primaries on just your thought/point alone. That and he has more real world political experience than all his opponents combined. You don’t run successful multi-national companies without it!
It took Rush forever to come around it seems...I quit listening during the primary while he did not “endorse” anybody he seemed more pro Cruz...altho he was good at explaining why Trumps base would not let go of him unless Trump himself did something to make it happen...anyhows I am glad that particularly since the inauguration he has come on board...I don’t listen regular because to many commercial breaks and news breaks...I just go to his websight an in about 10 minutes I have his three hour show in the can...
He said a week or so ago...It really does not matter if Trump is a conservative or a populist or some sort of hybrid...as long as he destroys the LEFT because compromise with them is no longer an option...well Huzzah to that!
This is going to be the most remarkable administration in my 70 years and may eclipse Ronaldus Magmus exponentially...I certainly hope so because the forefathers deserve a man like this to lead us back to our historical roots the fought and died for~
Oil and gas is much more than just energy, it’s also raw materials.
Natural gas is becoming the low cost feedstock of choice for the US petrochemical industry.
The combination of low energy costs and low raw materials costs achieved by exploiting America’s oil, gas and coal reserves combined with American high tech and high skill labor force go a long way to level the playing field and make America competitive against low skill, low cost of labor producers
The economy will truly be going after DJT gives the go-ahead for the energy independence program.
But then again, energy independence has been a national pipedream for decades, and nothing has been done about it so far.
It is not the low cost of natural gas that makes it attractive as a fuel, but it is environmentally “friendly”
