With the recent resignation of General Mike Flynn, President Trump has begun to look for a new National Security Advisor. Media reports have surfaced that two contenders wanted complete hiring control over staff, including those who are already in place and performing admirably. Fortunately, according to the Wall Street Journal, that was a deal breaker for President Trump. Deputy National Security Advisor KT McFarland has done an excellent job of doing the nitty-gritty work and organizing the day-to-day running of the NSC staff.
We can learn a lot by looking back at the qualities President Eisenhower sought in a National Security Advisor. Those same traits and attributes also served other U.S. presidents well when looking for a National Security Advisor.
Today, there is one name that clearly passes muster under the Eisenhower Test. His name is John Bolton and he has served our nation as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Affairs, and as President Reagans Assistant Attorney General. Hes a scholar, an author and one of our nations top foreign policy experts. Hes got political smarts and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Conservative Union. Right now, our nation and our president face the most complex national security and foreign policy situation weve ever faced. John Bolton has that vast mix of life experiences under the Eisenhower Test that best prepares him to advise our president and see the big picture at home and abroad to keep America safe and secure.

Hell no. No Bush era neocons.
We already know Bolton is the choice of those who make their living from banging the drums of war.
John Bolton is a member of the pro-globalist Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), which disqualifies him in my mind.

Media trying to tell President Trump who to pick???
We DON’T LIKE YOU ‘VERY FAKE NEWS’...GO AWAY!!!
KT picked him, and he will do exactly as told. Reagan coaltion comeback!
N Korea must be wetting their shorts right now
I don’t care if hes making build-a-burgers or not. Is he loyal and will he do as told? Lou Dobbs seems to think so...
Fine with me. I like John Bolton a lot.
I agree “He’ll No!”
Bolton has been an excellent Trump surrogate. I wanted Flynn. I really wanted KT in the shop. I’ll take Bolton any day.
Absolutely right. This guy’s defining characteristic has been his reflexive support for every military campaign that he never had to fight.
I like Bolton.
Fortunately, Trump’s mind isn’t that narrow
No denying Bolton is smart, knowledgeable and fearless but l am vary wary of him because he has been a Neo Con. I just hope if he’s picked that he has learned from ill advised entanglements.
No more neocons.
BREAKING ...GEN
HR McMaster is the PICK
If Bolton has moderated on some of his hawkish ideas then maybe.
