Haven't seen anything regarding this whole ordeal with the 9th circus of appeals.
If it goes to supreme court, a 4-4 ruling will have the lower court verdict finalized.
I refuse to believe Trump's team didn't see this coming.
Any thoughts?

Wait to appeal until Justice Gorsuch is confirmed. Confirm him ASAP.
Appoint ONLY strict conservatives to the 9th circuit for the next 4 years (and tell the Senators from Kalifornia, Oregon and Washington People’s Republics that their “Leftist Privilege” to pick the names of proposed judges for the 9th Circuit has been REVOKED!!
My thought is that the 9th Circuit would be wise to overturn the lower court decison.
“I refuse to believe Trump’s team didn’t see this coming.”
Denial is not a river in Egypt.
I believe that’s exactly what happened.
If it goes to a 4-4 ussc then the lower court ruling only stands until the full ussc decides the case.
I expect it to get there eventually even after the 9th circus allows Trumps order to be back in force. There is simply no lawful reasoning provided by the Robart judge to support his emotional, political decision.
The loonies won’t accept it bc they live in an echo chamber devoid of reason. So they will appeal to ussc.
It’s going to be another win, I’m not tired of it yet. Besides the eventual legal win, I do believe robart will get slapped down pretty good - although I am hopeful he’s given a consequence that will deter.
If judges on the 9th Circus and the SCOTUS refuse to uphold plainly written and unambiguous law, then it will be very clear that our judiciary branch needs to be done away with.
We do not need unelected super presidents.
Related Question:
Is there a way for the president to issue an executive order that cuts off the funding for these so-called religious groups and their refugee resettlement programs?
I am sure these “religious” groups would stop with their efforts to dump un-vetted foreigners on us if their profits dried up.
I read that the Government had until 3:00 PM today to file their response to prevent the TRO from becoming a permanent injunction. The government has already filed this as of late last night. The State of Washington also had to file actual paperwork instead of just a verbal TRO.
We should be hearing something this afternoon.
Congress can up the number of judges ther and use Thur Reid rule to load up the circuit with friendly judges.
But it’s going to be a win for Trump. The law is very clear.
Yeah.
They could nitpick some aspect to give the Dems a partial ‘victory’.
just stop the feds funding these groups. It will naturally shrink 80+% in a few months.
last thing we need, national defense based on judicial fiat

Having read the the Art of the Deal, I highly doubt Trump expected to get everything passed by a court and political challenge. I assume he would have pushed the limits to find out what the boundary is. The courts are not likely to limit everything no matter who is in control of SC.
But he's older and doesn't give a damn.
A wrong step here by the courts could well invoke Article III of the Constitution involving the plenary power of Congress to limit the jurisdiction of the courts. This may be a fight for the long game, but with a terrorist incident this could easily invoke a bit of legislative restraint on a runaway judicial system.
5 of the USSC justices have to agree to take the case....and that it's unlikely they would get involved this early in the game.
Or just Revoke the Ninth Circuit.
I see nothing convincing me they didn’t fall right into the 9th circus trap.
So they let left wing hack overrule and embarass the President.
“5 of the USSC justices have to agree to take the case”
This is bad actually l had held hope Kennedy was going to do right thing and smack down the 9th. If it goes to the full SC it’s 4-4 at best. If 5 have already say they’ll take it l’d bet is the 4 libs and probably a crossover.
