Healthcare Expert: GOP Senators’ Obamacare Replacement Plan Expands Taxpayer Funding of Abortions
Breitbart ^ | 2 Feb 2017 | Dr. Susan Berry

Posted on 02/03/2017 9:41:17 AM PST by detective

An experienced healthcare policy researcher observes that the Obamacare “replacement” plan put forward by Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Bill Cassidy (R-LA) not only would allow for taxpayer funding of abortion, but would actually expand its funding over that provided in the original Obamacare law.

Writing at The Federalist, Christopher Jacobs, founder and CEO of the Washington, D.C.-based Juniper Research Group, says the Patient Freedom Act (PFA) sends a “strikingly different message” from that demonstrated in House Republicans’ recent approval of the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act of 2017.

Republican Senators pretend to be against taxpayer funding of abortion.

They are lying.

Hopefully, Trump will correct this.

IMO, anything Susan Collins puts her name to has to be bad at the gate.

Fake news.

No way republican senators are this stupid.

It would be like putting gun control in a new health care bill.

They just aren’t that stupid.

In other words they don’t have a plan, but if they do, they are lying.

That the Republicans sat on their asses and completely blew off the the hard work of designing a “replacement” plan....even if the entire fiasco was to be repealed...is IMO unforgivable. They are an oozing pile of lazy garden slugs.

They just aren’t that stupid.

I wish I could say the same, but I give your Exhibit A (Juan McCain) and Exhibit B (Lindsey Graham).

You can't have lower cost health insurance until you cut out larded mandates and allow options.

I don't, for example, need coverage for STDs because I limit the places where my Johnson goes. Nor do I need coverage for substance abuse because I don't put that $#*+ into my body.

Yet, I am required to pay for both in order to cover people who don't take those common sense precautions.

You give them too much credit.

Alexander, Corker, Flake, Graham, Hatch, Heller, Hoeven, McCain, Murkowsky and Rubio all voted for Gang of Amnesty which would have resulted in a permanent Democrat majority.

“Fake news.
No way republican senators are this stupid.”

Learn a little bit about Sen. Susan Collins and others. Learn about what she is proposing.

She is not stupid. She is dishonest and deceptive.

I totally believe the Collins/Cassidy bill would do this. It is a terrible bill and l fear it will be jammed through so they can say “as promised we have repealed and replaced Obamacare”. It must be shot down. Time call D.C. and raise hell about this.

The only relevant question is what the deal will actually look like - not what some RINO proposals look like.

I don’t want to pay more because I object to baby murder.

In addition to Collins and Cassidy, the bill now includes Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-GA) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) as co-sponsors.

Lindsey Graham and two other Senators have cosponsored the proposal.

No Senator has publicly opposed it.

IMO Obamacare should be cancelled as of 9/30/2017 and not replaced by anything government mandated. People who want insurance should be allowed to get and pay for whatever level of coverage they desire, including Federal employees. Employers should choose whatever they want for their employees from whatever carrier they choose. Medicaid and coverage for whatever basic coverage truly needy citizens need should be provided by the states at whatever level they choose to fund.

Feds should butt out.
