There's nothing weird about this story at all - this was the Black Bloc, they've been allowed to act out for years, and now they're escalating and will start killing people if they are not stopped.
These hooded thugs have the same feel of raids in Muslim countries...I bet you the majority of protesters are Muslim trying to create chaos and anarchy...just like in Turkey and Egypt. Very similar comparison, all of them are hooded they’re violent, start fires, beating anyone that gets in the way, even murder if necessary... the symptoms are there. This is a soros encouraged manufactured protest!
This sounds like an appropriate response to me.
They should be stopped with Extreme Prejudice. Hopefully a few will be captured and interrogated.

I don’t see why the university is at fault. Unless I’m missing some of the facts...
The Berkeley PD should have taken these criminals down; not sure why the University should be penalized unless they specifically stopped to police from taking out these well organized and armed thugs. UCB was actually allowing the Young Republicans to host the guy. Threated the BPD with the funding cuts.

I was only in an advisory hiring position once as supervisor of an investment bank graphics dept.

I spent 15 minutes of the last hour switching among FNC, CNN and (P)MSNBC looking for any mention of the Bersekley riot. Not a word, even on the crawler at the bottom of the screen.
I just went back for 10 more minutes, including the first few minutes of the noon news shows. Nothing.
Our friends’ daughter graduated from BJU and immediately went into military Officer Training. I can’t say what she does now but if I could it would knock your socks off. They have strict rules of behavior at Bob Jones — be aware.
For nursing your daughter might want to check into Liberty as well as BJU.
Something needs to happen in all of these locations where paid rioters and anarchists are being deliberately allowed to wreak havoc and destruction. In some instances, and I believe this was one, the local law enforcement agencies are being given orders to stand down. Find out who’s giving those orders and loose the Justice Dept on their backsides.
That was my oldest daughter. She actually ended up getting her nursing degree from the local public university and lived with my widowed mother. So it ended up working out well, because she got educated without living there or getting too indoctrinated, as well as keeping Grandma company. I have five more sons to get through college, but we have a little while before we have to figure it out for the next one! I am glad a well-educated daughter of a FReeper is in a position that you can’t tell me about!
