President Donald Trump reacted to the massive rioting at UC-Berkeley in response to a scheduled campus speech by Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos. “If U.C. Berkeley does not allow free speech and practices violence on innocent people with a different point of view – NO FEDERAL FUNDS?” Trump wrote on Twitter early Thursday morning.
News of the rioting made cable news last night as students smashed ATMs and bank windows, looted a Starbucks, beat Trump supporters, pepper sprayed innocent individuals, and set fires in the street. Others spray painted the words “Kill Trump” on storefronts.

This is what happens when you have eight years Obama style politics on campus. any professors that were out in that crowd should be immediately fired and federal funds suspended until further notice. Apparently the only free speech that is allowed is theirs

Organizations receiving federal funds can’t discriminate, why should they receive money if they don’t support the bill of rights?

This money is for institutions of higher education...if its not practiced at this University it should both be defunded and decertified as a legitimate school
The government just pulled the certification sometime back for ITT Institute.
So the government should start pulling the plug on colleges and university that don’t practice being an institution of higher learning
Not sure of the breakdown. Some may be professional anarchists. Others may be opportunists. Smash and grab types. obviously, if trust fund babies, they would not be using EBT Cards. But many others do have them. Especially in SF area.

The problem wasn’t the students from what I could find out . There were a group of black-clad well organized criminals who seemed very different from the protesters.
Something is very weird with this story, the people who were actually burning things and attacking people seemed more paramilitary according to a friend who was there; cohesive and seemed to have a plan. It would have been good if some of them could have been captured and interrogated.

Sounds good. Hillsdale College has to do without federal funds because it wouldn’t comply with the fed’s discriminatory affirmative action policies and other ridiculous policies. If colleges want funds, they shouldn’t be active revolutionaries against civilization and the rule of law.
Why would we want to spend taxpayer dollars on an institution of "higher" learning if it does not allow free speech, and practices violence on innocent people with a different point of view?
Clearly they do not need Federal funds. The students will be happy to make up the difference so they can continue their fascist practices.
They are probably the same people who show up at every major event, causing destruction. It seemsthey are professional rioters.
