President Trump's decision to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border and stop the free flow of refugees until they can be vetted better is reviving the morale of customs and border agents, according to the union representing both.
"Morale amongst our agents and officers has increased exponentially," said a joint statement from the National Border Patrol Council and National ICE Council.
"The men and women of ICE and Border Patrol will work tirelessly to keep criminals, terrorists, and public safety threats out of this country, which remains the number one target in the world – and President Trump's actions now empower us to fulfill this life saving mission, and it will indeed save thousands of lives and billions of dollars," it added.
The statement on behalf of the agents for the immigration, customs and border protection was a powerful endorsement of Trump's action as he his under fire from critics of his actions.

As representatives of the nation's Frontline immigration officers and agents responsible for enforcing our laws and protecting our borders, we fully support and appreciate President Trump's swift and decisive action to keep the American people safe and allow law enforcement to do its job. We applaud the three executive orders he has issued to date, and are confident they will make America safer and more prosperous. Why do Border Patrol and ICE Agents need a Union? Sonsabitches have probably used their members’ dues to get America-hating DemocRATS elected for decades.

My cousin is part of ICE, and I can tell you that most of the boots on the ground are conservatives and have been frustrated by Obama. This is a spectacular change of pace for them!
The Agents are probably predominantly Conservatives but for every Agent there are probably a hundred pencil pushing bureaucRATS. They are probably predominantly Libturds who are overpaid and underworked. Their dues go to getting America-hating DemocRATS elected as well.

I’d wager that 80% or more of them actually want to do the job and have been frustrated at every turn - they love having a leader that wants them to do their job.
Not even close. While line Agents are majority hispanic, they are nearly ALL in favor of Trump and have been anti-democrat party for decades.
For Agents, the union is the front-line of defense when they have to shoot or injure an illegal alien.
(Full dsoclsure: my son is a BP Agent and has been involved in a shoot, and I know many of the line Agents, spanning from California to Florida, and they are ALL against the democrat party.)
The union handles workplace issues and represents the members in disciplinary cases and such.

Again, my problem isn't with Agents themselves. It's with the Unions. I don't believe a Union Rep helps an Agent involved in a shooting. In fact, Unions help get RATS elected that put Agents in danger of facing those charges in the first place.
Abolish all government Unions, Mr. President.

Most Wash DC (bureacrats) in DC are gutless, but ICE and Border Patrol Agents sent to DC are most always anti-Obama AND anti-demoncrat. ICE and Border Patrol Agents mostly are in DC because they are their temporarily, and many of the senior leaders I’ve personnally met are also very anti-Trump. . . except for the Chief of the BP (and he’s since been fired).
Want to talk aout demoncrat supporters? The FBI is chocked full of them. ICE/Border Patrol are totally different that what your bias feels.
Their dues do not go to demoncrats. . .ever. . .and don’t forget the BP union publicly supported Trump. . .first time they ever supported any candidate.

And my son was involved in a shoot and the union was right there, from the first hour to the end. Worked to protect him and to ensure his rights were protected.

ICE and BP are not your unsual govt agencies. Like I said, look at the FBI to match your profiling.
B) Union Reps don't protect rights in a criminal proceeding, lawyers do. If anything, Unions do more to protect members who SHOULD get fired or prosecuted for misbehavior.
C) Unions work to get DemocRATS elected to power so they can funnel more dues to Unions so they can get more DemocRATS elected to power.
