26 killings in 25 days: Baltimore police search for solutions to year's lethal start
Baltimore Sun ^ | January 25, 2017 | Justin George

As Baltimore struggles with a deadly start to the year, the mayor and police commissioner on Wednesday called on help from the community, other city agencies, prosecutors and even the president to help slow a pace of one homicide a day.

Twenty-six people have been killed in the year's first 25 days. Police Commissioner Kevin Davis tried to assure residents that the department is doing everything it can, allocating more officers to patrol and redeploying gang and other special units to areas of the city where violence is the worst.

The past two years have seen an unusual surge in violent crime that traces back to the unrest that followed the death of Freddie Gray from injuries sustained in the back of a police van in April 2015. The number of homicides in Baltimore jumped from 211 in 2014 to 344 in 2015 - the most per capita in the city's history.

When the police are persecuted by black militants in the DA’s and Mayor’s office, it makes sense of them to pull back and the the community do what it wants to do.

They can contact me for a few solutions...but somehow I doubt that they would place them into service.

My thoughts exactly. When they do succeed in driving out business and taxpayers, the urban desert they create will starve them out, and there won’t be any rail and buses to get them out where they’d want to go rob. They’ll riot for a time, but it won’t go much further.

Over breeding animal populations often have high levels of violence.

Thins the heard of breeders.

365 murders in 2017? Chicago had about 800 last year.Although I haven't checked my guess is that Baltimore's population is no more than half of Chicago's...and maybe only a third.

If the Baltimore police are smart their mantra will be,”I hear nothing,I see nothing,I know nothing”.

They were treated like sh** by the city, why should they care?

Thins the heard of breeders.

And I suspect like Chicago (any inner-city, really), most of Baltimore's murder victims were already well-known to police for engaging in the wrong pastimes, picking the wrong friends and pissing off the wrong people.

No great loss.

They really are going to put some more effort in, if they plan on keeping up with Philadelphia or even getting close to Chicago.

Let the Games Begin!! is Anyone Making Odds on the Winner??

A few years ago I saw a documentary on African wildlife that was interesting (I love African wildlife). It told the story of Kruger National Park in South Africa (one of the biggest and best of African parks) and how the park had a problem with "teenage" male elephants. They were causing havoc both to fellow elephants, other animals and other kinds of trouble as well. This behavior, the experts said, was highly unusual and problematic.

It was eventually agreed that the cause was too few adult male elephants in the area...the shortage having been caused by poaching (adult males are a poacher's favorite target).

It was decided that adult males were gonna be brought in from other areas.

Within a very short period after the new adults arrived the abnormal behavior stopped.

Start with kicking out the liberal Democrat leadership that perpetuates this and other horrors in the city.

Call Rham Emanuel. Perhaps you and Chicago have something in common. Drugs?

“They can contact me for a few solutions...but somehow I doubt that they would place them into service.”

For goodness sake, don’t help them. This is only helping the right side in the next midterm elections. In fact, maybe we can get them to combine this with the next women’s and scientist’s march.

Using libtard logic from the Freddie Gray riots, maybe the answer is to give thugs “room to kill.”

OK, let’s do that...
Margaret Sanger...”We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”

What problem? No cops are being sued or thrown in jail, none have been hurt or killed, the quiet neighborhoods are still quiet and being patrolled nicely, and those neighborhoods that wanted to make it on their own are being left alone. Sure, cops drive through the tough areas but look straight ahead and only stop when absolutely required. Be careful what you ask for, you might get it. Now we will just wait for the Black Lives Matter group to come in and stop the massacre.
