No filibuster. Dems already approved of the wall back in 2006. This is funding and there isn’t a thing the rats can do about it.
How about moving ahead with the Cabinet confirmations, Mitch?
I don’t see how, they are saying Mexico will pay for it as well. There are many ways for Mexico to pay for the wall other than agreeing to pay and handing over the money so I don’t see that as an issue. Many of us on the border have said for years there were ways to get Mexico involved in border security and ways to get Mexico to foot the bill for many things. We did not have a leader with the courage, and support of the American people to get it done, but we do now.
Even in areas where there is a designated right of way owned by the government it is controlled by agencies other than Homeland Security. In the past that right of way has and is currently controlled by Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service, and other agencies. The Border Patrol has in the past actually had to pay those agencies for so-called damages to the environment caused by their vehicles being used in those areas. Sounds crazy but it is the truth. They were charged for traveling on the right of way owned by the same government. Think about that for a minute or two.
This type of thing has to be ended as well, so many things have been standing in the way of securing the border it is mind boggling. I think only a person like President Trump could begin to get it all sorted out.
I think the rat is they are throwing out large numbers to scare taxpayers away. There is no way there are realistic numbers available at this point. Already I am seeing posts on social media about the cost to taxpayers. The cost will be far greater than normal construction due to many factors but Mexico will pay for it. I do think the numbers they are throwing around is a scare tactic. I don’t trust them as far as I can throw them.
I knownit sounds crazy but the army has to pay the air force for it to fly them on missions.
I bet the wall will come in ahead of time and under budget.
Yes, the ironic part is the border right of way was intended to be used for Border Security when it was designated.
Our government is stupid. Trump can only make it better. It can’t get much worse
Can’t people tunnel under the wall? Sap it? blow a hole with plastic explosives/dynamite? There’s going to be a high maintenance cost for that right?
