Great news. Finally McConnell grew a pair — or President Trump ordered him a pair transplanted from some Leftist male who didn’t need them any more.

McConnell responded to Wallace’s questions of going nuclear with an affirmative “The nominee will be confirmed”.
Now that’s about the fifth time you’ve been told that.

The point is that the title is wrong because MM made it quite clear he wasn't going to give Wallace the answer to the question that he wanted.

Your exactly right, he said several times that he believed the nominee would be approved, not once did he say he would invoke the nuclear option, he’s a punk.
Seems like McConnells line in the sand is the scotus.

If McWeasal actually tries to carry through on this threat I look for McIsane and Linday Graham to try and pull another RINO into the democrat column to vote against the rule change. McIsane relish’s these moments to interject himself into the mix to get media coverage.
I seriously don’t think McWeasal has the balls to do this, but this is more of a typical RINO bluff on his part. Might work, might not. If I were the smarmy priCk Schumer I would call his bluff, up to this point McWeasal has folded on everything except obama’s SC nominee.
Here are the facts and reasoning:
1. Mitch has no more excuses because now there’s a Republican President.
2. Schumer is on record that he will block the President’s ‘conservative’ SCOTUS nominees.
3. McConnell is on record in response to the question of whether he will go nuclear on the President’s SCOTUS nominee that “the nominee will be confirmed”.
4. President Trump has chosen and welcomed Mitch’s wife Elaine Chao as part of his cabinet and she has accepted (masterful move).
5. McConnell has myriad precedent cases and acts to form a basis for causing the confirmation of President Trump’s conservative nominee to the US Supreme Court.
The above facts convey that a conservative justice will be confirmed to replace Scalia even if McConnell needs to change the rules and invoke cloture on a simple majority.

Facts is facts
He did not say “the nuclear option is off the table” which is the sense of the headline.
6. Before retiring from the Senate, Democrat leader Reid made 2 things perfectly clear he wanted Schumer to be his successor and if/when the Democrats regained control of the Senate they would use the nuclear option for SCOTUS appointments. [Reid would not have anointed Schumer without his agreement on this critical issue.]
