He says (whatever year that is) that the uninsured totaled about 42 million and 10 million of those are children.
On that page he favors allowing all to exclude health care cots from income. I agree with that absolutely.
He says that low income can be subsidized to buy policies...I assume he means catastrophic plans. Using the 40 million figure, that would be about 10 million households more or less.
A catastrophic family plan used to cost it seems, $3000. I agree with that. If we double it for time, then we’re talking 6000 for 10 million.
That’s 60 billion bucks. More than doable and far cheaper than ObamaCare.

They would have had them on the floor as well, had any been needed.
That argument has been made by every side for what, 2 centuries. So, no matter how an honest man votes, it is irrelevant? We will see when the change comes who votes for what?
I will beat the drum for making all medical expenses a credit on income tax returns, and I understand this will benefit all taxpayers.
So, COC doesn’t represent free enterprise. Why are you attacking private sector businesses?
Only those businesses that want to import the workers for the jobs that can’t be exported.
Free enterprise that costs us our country isn’t free.
What constitutes a “medical expense”?
You can’t be a little bit pregnant. In other words, you can’t have just a little socialism.
Humans lived until about 1950 with no health insurance and populated the planet with several billion people. I know many people, including my Dad, that never had health insurance for a lifetime. John Adams never had health insurance and lived to 90 years.
I am clearly not in favor of allowing criminal aliens to ignore federal law.
Plenty of employers of illegal aliens are ignoring federal law and the CoC wants amnesty for them as much as for the illegal aliens.
Hospital stays, doctor visits, medications. Do you really not understand this? The insurance business has convinced everyone it is not possible to live without them? If you want it fine, if you don’t that’s fine too.
Yes HSA is not a policy, it is the tax free or credit vehicle of which a catastrophic insurance plan can be purchased as well as a Direct Primary Care Plan with a local MD of your choice. Making said credit available to everyone is in Dr Price’s Bill if my memory is correct which is a fatal flaw of Obamacare. Right now ( and before Obamacare ) unless you worked for an employer, or had a small business where you could take the credit, if you were somewhere in between ( 1099 contractor etc ) you were screwed, just like all those right now buying Gold, Silver and Bronze plans, they are with after tax dollars...
>> John Adams never had health insurance and lived to 90 years.
Two of his offspring, siblings to Quincy, died as children.
Again, I despise foreign invaders. COC also represents free enterprise.
I love the Conservative Treehouse because it:
1) dispels the fiction that the good guys are republicans and the bad guys are democrats, therefore, we “hold our nose” and support anything (R)
2) recognizes that the big division is NOT “conservative” v “liberal” but big state v little guy
This is a voice from the crowd that are against the left without being a tool and stooge of the megastate Republicans. I love them.
Yep, infant and child mortality was quite high before vaccines came along.
Michealangelo lived to 89 and his father to 90 in the 14th century when the plague was killing millions in Europe. They simply moved out of the citiy when outbreaks occurred.
Correction: were quite high
Should children get vaccines if their parents can’t afford them? There is a slippery slope.
