President-elect Donald Trump unleashed a Twitter attack on Congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis, after the lawmaker said he wouldn't attend Trump's inauguration because he doesn't see him as a "legitimate president."
Lewis in an interview with NBC on Friday cited Russia's meddling in the election for his view on the legitimacy of the presidential election results, and his comments stoked controversy with Republicans and debate inside the Democratic Party.
"I don't see this president-elect as a legitimate president," Lewis said.

Question? Who attacked and disparaged who, first?
Lewis is a longtime Demonicrat, and thus a lying, pro-abortion-murdering traitor.
icon?
merely a BHN
Oh nooooooooooes....Trump said something bad about a black man.
RAYCISSS
ABC to Trump:
How dare you respond to someone trashing you! The very idea...!
ABC news is irrelevant.
Evidently this guy is open to some pretty good criticism for his actions over the years.
I don’t think I’d want to push this if I were him.
Even if Trump is right he should lighten up on the tit for tats.
He should take is own advice and focus on his job.
The truth really kills liberals, esp black ones
Lewis is not a legitimate civil rights “icon” as he prostitutes himself and his so-called “cause” in the name of padding his pockets
His “civil rights record” speaks for itself. Just look at his constituencies. He hasn’t job squat for helping them to be good, self reliant citizens. And then when Trump justifiably calls out his record and hypocrisy, Lewis melts into Snowflake mode, as does a pandering media.
What you might have done 50 years ago, John, doesn’t excuse your childish unAmerican behavior today. You’re a sick, angry bigot
Don’t know about you, but I elected a fighter, because I want a fighter, and because I’m tired of meek, little, sissy Republicans.
But Lewis had no problem with the Kenyanesian Usurper who really was illegitimate.
John Lewis is just another ugly face with no influence.
Big difference between civil rights and fighting crime in your district. I guess the MSMLSD don’t know the difference.
Tweet John Lewis like I did
I challenged him to tell the truth that Sen. Sessions walked arm and arm with him at Civil Rights events. Sessions is a decent wonderful man who unlike Lewis is full of knowledge not BS. Lewis has done little to uplift his district.
Lewis is a race baiter, and a poster boy for age and term limits.
Jeb, is that you?
If Lewis wants to go someplace and sulk rather than attend the inauguration, it’s okay with me.
Fighting back is not attacking.
This is why we elected P.E. Trump...he fights back, and he doesn't care WHO you are or WHAT you have done...bite him and your going to feel it for quite a while...
Who would have known about John Lewis and his ‘racist card’ every time he doesn't get his own way? Who would have remembered him sitting on the House floor, doing a ‘sit in’ because something didn't go his way? Wonder if he got all those ‘binkies’ we sent him...maybe he needs so more so he can keep his ‘racist’ mouth shut!!!
He could have done a lot with Barky in his 5th district of Georgia, but no, he was to busy trying to find something to pout about and use his ‘race card’ because something didn't go his way, so his ‘plantation’ suffers some more...
Well that is all going to end, things for these people are going to get better and not because of John Lewis or Barky but because President Donald J. Trump is going to see to it...
Good. Should. Lewis out of line.
I’m big time pleased to have him as president and want him kicking ass....but I don’t think making issues personal will help him / us.
He knee jerk reacts to lone voices and ends up lessening his position
IMHO
He should keep pounding away until he takes the oath of office
