President-elect Donald Trump intends to name his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, as a senior adviser to his White House - a move that would put to the test a 1967 anti-nepotism law and provide a Trump White House already rife with ethical questions a bona fide legal showdown.
In fact, this amounts to Trump's "first attempt to ignore the law," according to Washington University government ethics expert Kathleen Clark. And she says it has huge implications not just for Kushner, but for the rest of his presidency.

WaPo: Donald Trump’s ‘first attempt to ignore the law’

You mean Bill and Hill weren’t married???
Pull the clips Aaron. What was said?
Did Bob Woodward object to the horror of Jack Kennedy appointing relatives to any position he should shove them into... including Attorney General of the United States? Tell us Aaron. We'd like to read about that Aaron... maybe a little historical perspective?
Come on Aaron Blake - really - prove to us this isn't just one more 'who's ox is being gored BS article' the liberal MSM churns out because they're biased jerks with an ax to grind..
That is a different type of graft - he was not being given a position in the administration.
Do you mean to imply that the First Lady would not be allowed in the WH if some FBI agent says no?
I'm not even sure what the protocols are in the U.S. Is it assumed that the First Lady has a security clearance for sensitive and classified matters?
It’s not a “job” if you don’t get paid for it.
Isn’t Obama’s mother-in-law getting paid by the government to live rent free in the White House ?
The bad old Donald is not supposed to do what the Rats have done for years ...
