Britain Booms After Brexit — Will Last Country To Leave EU Turn Out The Lights?

European Union: OK, quick: Of the seven major industrial nations, what country grew fastest last year? If you said Great Britain, you were dead right. Funny, because just last June after the Brexit vote, many experts were predicting a British collapse.

Here's the reality: "Britain ended last year as the strongest of the world's advanced economies with growth accelerating in the six months after the Brexit vote," says The Times of London.

Britain's economics community, not to mention its badly biased, anti-Brexit media, now have egg on their faces...

...dire prognostications of market disaster and a global meltdown never came...

...EU bureaucrats — complaining of "populism" and the "far right" — have let millions of refugees into Europe, including hundreds of terrorists, angering citizens who feel as if they're being systematically replaced.

France, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, and even Germany, have burgeoning movements to leave the EU. Seeing Britain's success, it's only a matter of time before others join them in taking back control of their own countries.

Then, the only question left to ask may be: "Will the last member to leave please turn out the lights?"

Time for globalist soros to set up an appointment with Doctor Kervorkian. Yeah, I know, Kervorkian is dead already, but soros needs Kervorkian more than ever right now.

Don’t forget the stock market crash that the experts predicted would happen if Trump was elected.

When SPX futures briefly went down as the election returns came in, Nobel Prize winner Paul Krugman said, “If the question is when markets will recover, a first-pass answer is never.”

This indicates that the experts are wrong again.

Globalism can be your slave or it can be your master. The people are tired of the experts telling us that it must be our master or our economies will colllapse.

Nations fight to gain their independence and sovereignty. It was always a strange idea to just give it away to a non responsive group of people.

Laxatives seem not to be working at first, as what has been distress becomes, for a short time, even worse distress, but once the short-term crisis is past, the entire body feels much better, having gotten rid of that now useless burden and impediment.

EU has imposed an artificial constipation upon its member states, forcing them to take steps that restrict what may be the better course of action for the individual country. Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain (PIGS) have largely depended on Germany and to some extent, France, to bail them out of their economic crises, while the poorly considered importation of relative illiterates from Africa and the Middle east have wreaked havoc upon the existing social systems of all of these countries, all while NOT providing a replacement work force for the aging and shrinking local populations of citizens.

Death spirals form their own distinctive patterns. Great Britain just happened to catch an ascending thermal.

Too bad Scotland was not cut loose. On their own, the native Scots people would soon realize their own self interest, but as long as they think they were being dragged along by the British, they shall continue to balk and resist. Highlander blood lines are better than that.

Interesting! I consider EU is part of the Clinton/Albright legacy. After the breakup of the USSR, they took the position that the USA should not be the only super power and became involved in the formation of EU.

IMO opinion people have a natural instinct toward tribalism and most countries represent such a tribe - they will seek a return to what they consider natural.

He became involved in a British election, but that’s OK. He didn’t, hack into their site and that not OK. (sarc)

After all, look at how Switzerland has suffered by not allowing unelected, overpaid, and untaxed bureaucrats in Brussels to dictate every aspect of their lives. All those impoverished bankers and clock makers lined up at soup kitchens. Tragic. /s

...dire prognostications of market disaster and a global meltdown never came...

I have semi-liberal friends on Facebook...I remember their lament on the night Donald Trump won--it was strikingly similar to how everyone felt about the UK, after Brexit.

Of course, I had to engage those people, because they were predicting gloom and doom for the stock market, saying Trump was much too brash, too arrogant, that the markets wouldn't like his unpredictability.

I dared them all to short the market if they felt that way. I reminded them that they could make a killing, if the market went the way they anticipated. "They were already making plans," one of them said, though they didn't say what they were. I hope they guessed wrong.

The great lie of multinational corporate globalist sock puppet politicians is being exposed, traditional nation states work just fine without enriching the few at the expense of the many. International banksters and global government types are on the ropes, hopefully Trump will wipe out NAFTA, GATT, and the WTO and go back to actually doing things that help all Americans.
