Liberals are panicking about the fact that President-elect Donald Trump will be able to fill four vacancies on the historically left-leaning Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals when he takes office later this month. Outgoing Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) called the vacancies a “judicial emergency,” according to Bay Area public radio station KQED, even though there are 29 judges on the court. The “emergency” is that Trump’s nominees might be able to make the court more conservative.
The Ninth Circuit’s jurisdiction covers many West Coast states, and its decisions have often reflected the liberal political culture of California and other “left coast” outposts. Over the past several decades, the frequency with which the U.S. Supreme Court — which had a narrow 5-4 conservative majority until 2016 — reversed Ninth Circuit rulings became a recurring theme. However, the Ninth Circuit has shown flashes of independence, as in recent Second Amendment rulings.
Liberals are worried about that increasing “moderation” at the Ninth Circuit.

Absolutely. The rest of us have been held captive of the 9th Circus for years. We want judges who interpret the law not make the law.
I feel sorry for those Californians who are trapped by the laws that represent the cities. You can move if you lived and worked in the cities, unfortunately farmers couldn’t move the land that has been in their families for generations

The ninth circuit has OVERTURNED many ballot measures voted on by CA. voters WE voted FOR traditional marriage 9th circuit OVERTURNED the voters!!! The 9th circuit AND illegal immigration have DESTROYED this state!!!! I am for ANYTHING to destroy the 9th CIRCUS!!!! This WILL have to be done BEFORE ANYTHING can be done about illegal immigration in CA.!!!!!!! I don’t know if 8 years will be enough to change CA. but I am HOPEFUL!!!!!

Bringing the Ninth Circus in line with the Constitution will also reign in a lot of Kalifornia's kookier laws.
I have been watching VERY CLOSELY the gun laws in CA. and ALL of the tricks being pulled on ammunition laws it has become TRULY DISPICABLE, in CA. these BASTARDS know they have the 9th CIRCUS on their team!!!! This court NEEDS to be obliterated!!!!!!

While their ages are not listed, you can see by the dates they were confirmed, that a number of them will be retiring or dying off during the Trump eight years. All of he Carter appointees will be gone for sure.
If it wasn’t political in the first place we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
I think he needs to break the 9th into two or more circuits. It’s a cancer on Constitutional jurisprudence.

It is my fervent hope that the Libs in this country are about to pay for 8 years of Obama and Pelosi and Reid with a lifetime of conservative government that gets more and more conservative each election cycle, until finally they die a sputtering and meaningless death, worrying.
