I’ll always remember fondly doing a float trip with the extended family in the Ozarks. I ended up in the bow of the canoe with my older brother, a graduate of Annapolis and former Navy officer. My 7 year old daughter was in the middle with the cooler that had our lunch.
We found ourselves swept into and up against a flat rock. The canoe slipped sideways and jammed against the rock. Anyone who has ever been in a canoe in a stream knows what happens next. Slowly and inexorably the canoe began to roll over and sink. I was yelling at my brother about what to do and he couldn’t even figure out port v starboard. He then confessed he had never been in a canoe before. I grabbed the lunch and put it on the rock. I then grabbed my daughter and put her on the rock. My daughter still gives me grief about grabbing the cooler first.

According to his Wikipedia article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_Mabus), Mabus served as a Surface Warfare Officer on the USS Little Rock (CLG-4) from 1970-1972. Technically, a Vietnam War veteran. Since he only served two years, he probably got an early out to attend law school.
Personally, I rate him a first class TURD for the damage he has done to the Naval Services and for the particular contempt his actions have shown to the Commandant of the Marine Corps and the Marine Corps generally. My hope is he will receive contempt in return and in full measure.

If it's undeniably true, there should be undeniable proof. Let's see the proof. I for one don't believe it for a second.
Furthermore, there's far more to a strong combat unit than physically strong people. Even if there were some freak-of-nature gal who was physically capable, she would never and could never fit into the brotherhood that holds a unit together.
Get rid of Mabus as fast as possible. There has always been a cohesion between males in the military. Women interrupt that necessary cohesion in combat just through their nature in society. It has benefits in society but not when you’re under fire when you have to deal with the all the complexities of male-female interaction and the distractions that come with it including sexual attraction and tension. It is the Left’s idea to breakup this cohesion, always to weaken the military at every turn.
