Michael Browns parents are objecting to a request from Ferguson for their sons medical and academic records as the city defends itself against a lawsuit the parents filed over the 2014 police shooting death of the unarmed 18-year-old.
Michael Brown Sr. and Lezley McSpadden, in December court filings, asked U.S. District Judge E. Richard Webber in St. Louis to at least limit if not scuttle altogether a push by the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, its former police chief and the officer who shot their son to turn over the documents. The parents say the documents are irrelevant and that the repeated demands for them are harassing and invasive.
Browns parents argue in their lawsuit that the death of their son during an August 2014 confrontation with Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson deprived them of financial support through his future potential wages.

Thug wages?
It’s called discovery.
Gee! Since he was going to go to college, I would think that they would be proud of him, so much that they would gladly make his school records available.
Default position: was going to sponge off the kids future earnings. lol. SMH. Just, f*cking, Damn!
“I don’t want to be embarrassed by the exposure of the records of our bastard son as we try to sue our way to easy street!”
Depo and discovery—the price you pay for being a plaintiff. Maybe Obama can do a mission in February—lol
Future potential wages...
Stellar civic and academic achievements,,,
Potentially.

The fact that they haven’t settled (yet) is significant. The city will probably win this battle and lose the war.
LOL - “Discovery is a bitch”. Deprived of Michael Brown’s income - LMAO.
As my stupid exwife found out when she took me to court for more child support, discovery works both ways.
His school record and criminal record would surely impact his future earnings. They seem highly relevant.
Yup.
And basic discovery at that, if they are pursuing a loss of future support claim.
Future financial earnings? How much do they pay convicts now?
What wages? As soon as the law caught up with him, he was going to spend the biggest part of his life locked up. Like Saint Travon, he was worth more dead than alive.
My thoughts exactly. They do not have a leg to stand on save their own self-perceived victim superiority. They are not going to win with a rational jury. Just money grubbing grafter entitlement ghouls.
