Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo’s Firearms Nescience(NV)
americanthinker.com ^ | 12/30/2016 | William A. Levinson

Posted on 12/30/2016 5:52:00 AM PST by rktman

I was at the Crossroads of the West gun show in Las Vegas when I learned about Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo's agitation for limits on firearm magazine sizes. Lombardo's statement to the Las Vegas Sun, "I’m a very avid hunter, I was in the military myself, and there’s no need to have a high-capacity magazine for any practical reason," is prima facie evidence that he is either (1) grossly unqualified for his job; or (2) willing to subordinate public safety to a political agenda that is far better suited to Los Angeles than any place in Nevada.

Anybody with even rudimentary competence in law enforcement knows there are two very legitimate practical applications for high-capacity magazines: (1) multiple aggressors; and (2) failure to stop the aggressor(s). This is why almost all law enforcement officers carry them.

Well, well, well. Looks like sheriff lombardo is getting some unwanted attention. But, it's vegas so he probably has no worries about being ousted. It's called the reid effect. So, when can we start proceeding to have calibfornia annex Clark county? After all, currently prostitution is illegal in Clark county but with the new calibfornia law, even under 18ers will be exempt from arrest for prostitution. Can you say Sodom and Gomorrah?

What does being a “very avid hunter” and serving in the military have to do with the Second Amendment? Not a damn thing. This guy is a clown.

So. Effectively what he is say is that the 2nd Amendment is not practical. MISTER Lombardi, whether you think any capacity of magazine has no reason for being, go look at the 2nd Amendment you fool and tell us where it says any such limitations are allowable.

As usual, leftists want to have both sides of the argument, all the time, with no repercussions.

If any guns should be more protected than others, it would be those most suitable for militia use. Standard capacity magazines that hold between 10 and 30 rounds are exactly those most suitable for militia use. It is why the standard magazines for current military rifles are 20 and 30 rounds, and for pistols is as high as 20, and is commonly 15-18.

This is just pushing an agenda without any rationality, and that is what leftists do.

So how about limiting his deputies to one 10 round magazine? I’ve seen videos of trained police officers blowing through 15 round mag not hitting their target once. If a law abiding citizen gets into a gunfight with bad guy(s) why would you want him or her to run out of ammo first?

Does Lombardo intend to mandate low-capacity magazines for himself and his deputies while on duty? Somehow, I doubt it.

Lombardo's statement to the Las Vegas Sun, "I’m a very avid hunter, I was in the military myself, and there’s no need to have a high-capacity magazine for any practical reason,"

Fine "sheriff", you turn yours in first, then your entire department, and come talk to the rest of us after you do.

“I was in the military myself, and there’s no need to have a high-capacity magazine for any practical reason”.

Military Service is obviously no indicator of wisdom or integrity.

This clown is in the same category as Benedict Arnold and Chelsea Manning as far as I’m concerned.

How’s that for your prideful service record Joe?

I was thinking on similar lines, but limiting officers to 6 shot revolvers in 38 Special, and a ban on speed-loaders.

“Clark County Sheriff Lombardo” is on record, as representing the official ‘soto voce’ of the anti-gun establishment wing of government, whether that be municipal, county, state, or federal.

He has NO business espousing ideas, particularly on record, that fly in the face of the OATH he took, ‘to defend and protect the Constitution’.

How can you ‘protect and defend’ that, when your officially stated decree is the word, “NO!”?

A simple law:
All Laws regarding any “Right” mentioned in the US Constitution, SHALL apply to ALL Persons equally, Without Exception.

He would support this then right??

And I bet the gun he was carrying had more than 10 rounds in it and likely he never carries one with less.

How about: all rights afforded protection by the U.S. Constitution are absolute. I’ll back that one.

That quote is the clearest sign you are dealing with a ‘Fudd’. I’m going to take away your firearms, oh oh, but I’m a hunter so I’m not anti-gun.

What the CA prostitution law does is bring the under-agers out of the shadows. The ‘sellers’ will be immune from arrest but the ‘buyers’ of the product with still be subject to prosecution. The law in essence makes the product somewhat easier to obtain with no change in the penalties for using said services. It’s the States way of protecting the vulnerable by exposing them to more harm......
As for Clark Co., let’s give CA Clark and we take ALL of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding CA counties.

The disease from California is starting to spread. First to Washington and Oregon, now to Nevada.

Time to institute some serious quarantine before they infect the rest of the west.

He’s another typical gun-grabbing assclown.

Replace him in the next election, and ignore him and his Diktats until then.

And if he wants to play rough, resist him. By any means necessary.
