An East Stroudsburg man was arrested Wednesday on charges he stole tip jars from at least four restaurants and the Toys for Tots donation jar from the Arlington Diner in Stroud Township.
Michael M. Moya, 23, was identified earlier in the week as a suspect in the Toys for Tots theft at 834 N. Ninth St., and investigators already were gathering evidence on the other thefts, Stroud Area Regional police said.

That section of NE PA, which years ago was touted as a cheap alternative to north Jersey, has turned into a real “ghetto in the woods”. A lot of unassimilated Welfarians congregating there.

They used to pitch that area to ghetto folk here (in NE NJ) as a cheap way to own their own homes; one I spoke to described how some buyers walked away from them after the first winter because they used electric heat which was very expensive. A couple of years ago there was a scandal of sorts where realtors here were directing black people out there (to Altoona); rather than packing them on cattle cars at gunpoint I guess the plan was to get them to leave NJ voluntarily. The PA folks weren’t happy...

I got out in the late 90’s, and I was a native Cunnerman.
The invasion started in the mid 80’s. By the 90’s they brought their trash, their crime and taxes.
We still aren’t happy. The drug problem is getting bad out here.
That’s a shame; I’ve wondered if the recent casino activity would help or hurt...
Same here; I believe Walgreen’s has started selling Narcan without a prescription here (for overdoses). My kids describe how prevalent marijuana is with high schoolers today; I’m unsure as to what age they switch to heroin.
