In a recent conversation with Breitbart News, Gun Owners of California’s (GOC) Sam Paredes told us to be ready for an all-out ban on semi-automatic long guns in California’s coming legislative session.

Paredes is the executive director of GOC, and he suggested the “assault weapons” ban and the “bullet button” ban have both been part of an incremental move toward banning all semi-automatic rifles, whether “assault” style or not.

So, Mini-14s, bye bye? Any grandfathering? They're all supposedly registered.

‘Registration’ just allows them to confiscate them more quickly.

Weighing California:

Taxes, Unconstitutional Constraints on the 1st and 2nd Amendments, Sanctuary Cities, Illegal Immigrant population, Cost of Living, Liberal Mania infesting every element of life, traffic and crushing population density...

VS.

Nice weather, scenery, and beaches.....

They have no worries about doing this so far. With the 9th Circuit, any anti-gun law will be upheld. Hating to use the word “hopefully,” but maybe once Trump appoints a 2nd Amendment rights USSC judge, California will get a world class smackdown.

Compton will become a happy place with flowery meadows and rainbow skies, and rivers made of chocolate, where the children dance and laugh and play with gumdrop smiles.

Blatantly unconstitutional. You cannot ban arms in common use.

DOA at the Supreme Court.

Think of it this way, the rest of the country will be able to seize control of California much easier now.

And to think, back in 1982 California ONLY wanted to register handguns. Long guns would not be affected!

The handgun registration scheme of 1982 (Prop 15) was defeated.
Then they came back to try for the rifles!

I should mention that the 1982 registration scheme would have also banned NEW handguns in the state. Now they have banned rifles.

My brother is ultraconservative law enforcement in CA. He can’t wait to leave that hellhole. He’s out at the end of 2017, going to the Dakotas.

The gangbangers, la raza crowd, mexican drug cartels, BLM and SJW thugs, and aspiring felons will have a field day looting and pillaging california with impunity.

Might have to set up a DMZ around california just to keep them out of the US.

If californians want to reject the US, then maybe the US will reject california. Too bad that the insane leftists overthrew the government there, it’s such a nice state otherwise.

how about a cross state model supremacy clause.

one state can not ban a model.

same as cars are legal across all states.

After 1/1/2014 all long guns get registered when purchased. The new and improved recent laws state semi-auto center-fire long guns with detachable magazines or mags easily removable with a simple tool (bullet button) will have to be registered as an assault weapon. Oh, 10 round mags are now the limit with no grandfathering. I could go on, but I’ll just say that now that the dems are a super majority in our legislature, they can and probably will pass anything they want.
