That's "victim shaming". When the female runners in my club were cautioned to not run alone at night after a spate of attacks, guess who they got mad at? The attackers? NOPE! The club coach giving the advice!

I have met people like this before. These are the same types of people who will rent an apartment in a part of a city they have no business being in.
Their rationale is that since they mean no harm to the people who live in that area, hate them, and want them dead, then they will be safe. They want to show the dangerous people that there are white people who care for them, who aren’t their enemies, and to demonstrate that people with good intentions can live side by side in peace.
Unbelievable, but true. Don’t know if that is the case here, but it sure sounds like it.

While I agree with your statement, it goes well beyond the media. I’ve been saying for a long time that Dubya set us back 25 years in properly addressing the issue of Islam with his “peaceful friendly religion” nonsense immediately post-9/11.

Lived my nearly 60 years around people like that here in New York City. Even when they got mugged, or had their apartments burglarized, they don't blame the perps. They're incomprehensibly naive.
