The first family has spent over $10 million a year on travel and vacations, and the still growing bill has crossed over $85 million in eight years, according to a watchdog group.
Judicial Watch, which has charted the travel of presidents for years, on Monday said that it has received a new batch of bills for the first family's Christmas break in Hawaii, bringing that trip to nearly $5 million. The Obama's are expected to return to Hawaii this Christmas.
The expenses cover items such as security, flights and hotel rooms for staff and U.S. Secret Service. They do not include the price of prepositioning ships and aircraft in the area or much of the communications costs.

Their vacay trip to wonderful India cost a hell of a lot more than $85 million.
My ass is right!! If it costs $500,000 a DAY for trump security, then it costs $10,000,000 for EVERTY damn Obama VACATION!

Frankly I would have gladly paid them twice that just to go away from day one.

The whiny imbecile posing as NYC mayor, Bill DeBlASSio, is kvetching about the cost of Trump’s security while in NYC. He wants the feds to pay NYC $35 million for the costs of Trump’s security. I could not stop laughing. Odungo’s golf trips, vacations, housing his mother-in-law, welfare tab for his illegal alien aunt here, Solyndra and other debacles, etc. would absolutely DWARF these security costs. And what do you think DeBlASSio would do with the $35 million? He would certainly, absolutely no doubt, find ways to redistribute it to his actual constituency-—ghetto thugs, Al Sharpton, and illegals. Oh, and his own legal defense fund for his corruption trials. Gimme a break, you idiots.
Wonder if all the Rats and Snowflakes who put him in office for eight years enjoy learning how he ripped off the country so he could play golf and lay on the beach.
The liberals are crying because 85 days of security at trump tower will cost 85 million. I find it hard to believe it costs a million a day to protect the First Lady. That number is high by 10.
They are bummed they will not break 100 million.

And we haven’t gotten to the end of it. I think they are grifters, sociopaths. I wonder if those Youtube videos are right about the gender assignments and adoption or loaning of the young women.
I find it amazing we haven’t known the costs and that we have allowed it.
We are really stupid as we as Americans glorify and sanctify and make majestic such trash. The media had to know...criminals most of them, too.
One can wager they will jimmy the books on how much money they have spent wonder if they have a Swiss bank account?.
IIRC that one European vacation the Wookie, her daughters, and the mom took a few years ago cost over $20 million.
Now that Trump’s president maybe the economy will improve enough that I can tie vacation. Haven’t had one in years. Staycations, yes, but going somewhere else, no.
