Firearms enthusiasts who embraced Donald Trumps campaign and his full-throated support of the Second Amendment are expecting a sweeping expansion of gun rights under his administration and a Congress firmly in Republican hands.
Among their priorities: eliminating gun-free zones at schools, reducing requirements for background checks and ensuring that concealed carry handgun permits from one state are recognized everywhere in the U.S.
This is our historic moment to go on offense and to defeat the forces that have aligned against our freedom once and for all, Wayne LaPierre, chief executive of the National Rifle Association, said in a video after the Nov. 8 election. The individual right to carry a firearm in defense of our lives and our families does not and should not end at any state line.

No more tax stamps for silencers!!
Great! MAGA!!!
MEMO TO NRA: Be judicious, please.
I hope so, currently been waiting almost 6 months for my form 4 to be approved.
Makes me wish I still owned guns and had a big stash of ammo.
Boating accident...lost my gold, too. It was pretty awful. ;)
+1
Large quantities of gold and boats do not mix.
Since the Second Amendment is in the federal constitution, what gives the states or cities the right regulate guns at all?
Just saying.
LMFAO- this story reported by WCCO. The Twin Cities should actually embrace the strengthening of 2nd Amendment rights since that Muzzie POS went postal in St. Cloud before his pathetic existence was cut short by a heroic gun-carrying LEO.
Yep. ‘Specially after you, ‘accidentally’ shoot a hole in the bottom, LOL!
I’ve never gotten that either.
It’s a guaranteed right, period!
You can’t carve it up so it is meaningless.
They’ll scream bloody murder when we try to clarify the 14th Amendment concerning birthright citizenship. Just wait and see.
So they don’t agree to limiting other amendments.
Fix Prop 63 in Kahleepornia...

Same could be said for the illegal sanctuary cities.
Pass the Hearing Protection Act, enact national reciprocity, and repeal the NFA.
Just wait. California and NY will say “we have state’s rights!!!”
“Among their priorities: eliminating gun-free zones at schools, reducing requirements for background checks and ensuring that concealed carry handgun permits from one state are recognized everywhere in the U.S.”
It needs to go one step further and REQUIRE that ALL STATES have SHALL ISSUE CCW PERMITS! Making other state’s permits legal here in California will not solve our problem of getting permits from our state government.
The other thing that needs to go are ALL the laws regarding what guns are legal in a given state and magazine capacities, because right now an unsuspecting traveler entering California is sure to be in violation of several of our idiotic, unconstitutional gun laws.
“Since the Second Amendment is in the federal constitution, what gives the states or cities the right regulate guns at all?”
You took the words right out of my mouth. I’d be in favor of a National Right to Carry Law which would force all states to conform to the Constitution.
