First, Rochester City Court Judge Leticia Astacio was convicted of drunken driving.
Then she tried to drink and drive again - a violation of her conviction discharge...
This week, she was finally stripped of all remaining judicial duties by a state administrative judge.
She was also ordered not to go into any non-public areas of Rochester's city court building...
And photos posted on Facebook appear to show Astacio drinking during the Thanksgiving holiday....
Through it all, Astacio is still collecting her $174,000 a year salary

Upstate bump
Their courts drove her to drink, huh
Also this:
“Therefore because she refused to take the breath test, her license is now suspended.”
Take a look at Rochester’s mayor and you’ll understand how these “types” hang together.
As I understand it, she can’t even do that now.
As of yesterday , she is relegated to public areas, only.
No more backstage or private area reserved for judges.
The matter has been referred to an appropriate judicial commission for review, and possible removal of an elected official.
Oh yeah, let me note that my story was from March. Didn’t notice.
Another Wise Latina.
Anyone know what the official reason is for taking so long to strip her of her duties and privileges?
“She is doing “chambers work””
Hopefully emptying the chamber pots at the county hospital.
Of COURSE she’s keeping da money!
How else is she gonna pay for all that Cham-pipple!?!
also claimed that she never read the judges decision...nor did her attorney, that as a condition of release, forbid drinking.
Guilty
I didn’t even know what you were talking about and had to look up “interlock”. The fact that the daughter had to blow in it shows she knew she was forbidden.
What a piece of work. Why didn’t the daughter just drive?
Original DWI in AM , enroute to work in the courts.
Given Probation for 1 yr., and breathalyzer machine installed in her car
Probation violation- had child blow into the machine to drive
Probation violation drinking alcohol, said that she didn't know that she wasn't allowed to drink alcohol because she (a judge)signed the papers without reading therm.
Most recently, photo where others were drinking tequila, she had a 'solo cup' allegedly which was water (per her attny).
Removed from doing "chamber duties", and denied non-public access.
Matter referred to Judicial Commission for review and disposition, since they are the only agency that can remove an elected official.
I believe the daughter was age 6 years old
So she gets a paid vacation?
How nice.
hahahahaha..well it would help if I actually bothered to read the details.
Thanks for the synopsis. I hope appropriate action is taken.
