On this Thanksgiving Day, we can all be thankful to God for lifting up President (elect) Trump!
The bickering and griping from the purists and professional conservative class who are out to prove that Trump is not a "true conservative" will go on forever, but they quickly forget that he has already saved (conserved) our nation from a one-way trip to a third-world Marxist/fascist cesspit under the rule of the godless Hillary Clinton. Let us not forget that Trump single-handedly (well, with a little help from legions of irredeemable, deplorable bigots, racists and assorted ne'er-do-wells) defeated the GOPe, the Bush dynasty, the donor class, the ruling class, the democrats, the media and the Clinton dynasty. Not bad for a rookie with no political experience.
Saving (conserving) our divinely inspired constitutional Republic from certain death that would have been brought about under Marxist/fascist Hillary and her liberal activist courts is a yuuuge conservative feat all by itself that we can all be mighty thankful for today and for as long as we and our posterity live on.
Securing the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity is job number one for each new generation. And it's a never-ending battle. As Reagan reminded us, freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction as it is not automatically passed on in the bloodline. Love of God and His gifts and promise must be taught to and fought for by every generation of Americans. It is our heritage and duty.
Trump's victory offers many promises for America including:
1) Securing our borders, securing our nation, securing our sovereignty
2) Restoring constitutionally limited government
3) Restoring individual freedom, religious freedom, economic freedom
The most immediate of the above is to secure our borders and secure our nation. Without borders we have no nation. Trump will get a great start on this by simply doing away with Obama's executive orders and by enforcing existing law. Enforcing existing law includes securing and enforcing our borders, deporting illegal aliens when caught and prosecuting those who illegally harbor illegal aliens (including individuals, employers and city/state/federal government officials).
He will need continuing help from us and our congress to build the wall, deport them all, end anchor babies, to get a handle on immigration and to slap a moratorium on importing terrorism. I pray we do not let him down.
Securing our nation also means rebuilding our military and defending our borders and our interests abroad. Again, Trump will make great strides in this regard by simply doing away with Obama's executive orders and replacing his appointees and policies which were designed to weaken our defenses. Homosexuals in our military? Transvestites in our Marine Corps? Give me a break.
The first step in securing our national sovereignty will be to review all international treaties, agreements and alliances. Any "executive agreements" can immediately be withdrawn, ie, Obama's nuke deal with Iran. If there is an international agreement that is worthwhile and does not encroach on our constitution or our national sovereignty, then it must be properly addressed as a treaty and presented to the senate for ratification. All of our trade agreements and encumbrances in world bodies such as NATO and the UN must be scrutinized.
Restoring constitutionally limited government demands the immediate repeal of Obamacare. Also, the dismantling of the EPA, the Education Dept, the Energy Department, the Labor Department and a host of unconstitutional ABC departments and agencies delving into, regulating and controlling functions that are reserved by the constitution to the states and the people. If it is not one of the delegated or enumerated powers, then the federal government has no business encroaching into it.
Restoring our economy means cutting taxes, cutting regulations, cutting government, getting a handle on trade and immigration. All of which are high on President Trump's priority list.
Key to accomplishing all of the above is appointing judges who will abide by original intent of the constitution. And of course, constitutional judges are essential to the defense of individual liberty, religious freedom, the right to keep and bear arms and all of our unlimited God-given freedoms.
Hey, nobody said this was going to be easy. Accomplishing the three major promises listed above will be a Herculean task and the man who can accomplish it would indeed be the greatest conservative leader in modern times. But I think it's greater than a one man job. I think it's going to require an all hands on deck effort.
Let the doers do and the snipers fall by the wayside.
Praise God today for our Founders and their wisdom and for all His wondrous creations, gifts and blessings.

Thanks for the great message, Jim! Since Nov 8th I’ve been so darned happy it infuses everything I do, and makes me realize how angry and depressed I’d been for the past eight years. I’m getting ready for a very happy Thanksgiving with my family today, and hope yours is wonderful, too.

Amen to that! We really dodged the bullet and can look forward to making America great again rather than helplessly watching it circle the drain.
Me and the Mrs will spend the day delivering Turkey dinners to our older friends that would have a hard time making a full dinner. 4 different couples all in the 90's. We made 3 turkeys, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pies etc. .
I was truly blessed this year with good health and good business. God Bless all of you.

I think all of us have a renewed hope and sense of good will that’s been dormant for too many years. I just want to enjoy today by truly “giving thanks” to Him, to everyone here and to everyone I encounter and spend time with today.
