What you originally said was pretty clear. I was agreeing with you, but maybe wasn’t too clear in doing so!
And yes, you’re right in noting the irony of the pro-Communists in the US being so hostile to Putin, now that the Russians are back on the capitalist road. They’re still pushing the totalitarian system that has already been tried and rejected all over the world.
I think the best thing we can do for ourselves is unhook computers, TV’s, radios, EVERYTHING until Monday. I don’t do any of the social media so I don’t need to worry about shutting that down. Don’t know anything about it and don’t want to know. I have a stack of library books that can keep me amused...
Have a super Thanksgiving and remember THANKS that Hillary won’t be going to the WH and we’ll get our conservative judges on the Supreme Court. What a THANKSGIVING!
Amen!
I was 6 at the time and had just arrived in Canada a month prior. I really didn’t have any concept of the United States or the President. My only memory of that time was watching a bit of the funeral on a black and white tv and apparently it was someone important. A 6 year old doesn’t really have a good grasp on death either. A little over a year later I do recall the banner headline in a local paper for Winston Churchill saying Man of the Century dies at 90. That headline was true then as it is today.
My first memory of a TV show is Winston Churchill’s funeral. I’m sure it wasn’t live, and I didn’t know who he was, but it was a big deal and it stayed with me. Great man.
