Hollywood's Ridiculous War on the Electoral College
Newsmax ^ | November 14, 2016 | James Hirsen

In the wake of president-elect Donald Trump's dramatic victory, many of the more outspoken left-leaning journalists, mainstream media pundits, and entrenched politicians have now placed in their sights the Electoral College.

Having the distinct feel of a coordinated campaign, mainstream outlets have flooded the media landscape with attacks on the time-honored process embodied in the U.S. Constitution.

— The New York Times recently published a piece titled "The Electoral College Is Hated by Many. So Why Does It Endure?"

— The Baltimore Sun featured an editorial titled "Ditch the Electoral College? Yes we can."

— Forbes floated an analysis titled "Don't Blame Pollsters. Blame The Electoral College."

— The Nation published a piece titled "The Electoral College Has To Go."

— And following the all too frequently used template of liberal provocateurs, Slate put out an incendiary race-based article titled "The Electoral College Is an Instrument of White Supremacy."

Now, in what appears to be perpetual political warfare on the part of radical liberals, some of the Left Coast's most celebrated foot soldiers are attempting to manipulate the public by raising the issues of the Electoral College's validity and relevance, and the potential to circumvent the constitutionally defined process.

Subtract 3 million noncitizens and countless dead and duplicate voters, then add millions of uncounted military and other absentees, then tell me all about how unfair the Electoral College system is.

The Dems had their knickers in a twist over the EC back in the 70’s.

They cooled their jets after more detailed analysis revealed that ditching it would not always necessarily work out to their benefit.

"The Electoral College Is Hated by Many. So Why Does It Endure?"

If it was hated nationwide it would be gone now because *that* type of hatred would make it easy to amend the Constitution. In fact the Electoral College is hated in certain states...a handful of states.Translation: no way would an Amendment be passed eliminating,or modifying,it.

The haters are concentrated in urban clusters, and cannot muster enough electoral votes to make a difference!

The EC is hated whenever the candidate beloved by the urban machines (Gore, Hillary) gets a slew of popular votes (many of them suspicious) but loses the election.

They themselves are unwittingly being the best argument for it, in that the rest of the United States needs to be protected from limousine socialist bullying and governed by a proper and representative plurality, reflective of it’s voting.

The Founding Fathers created the Electoral College specifically for one reason: to prevent the urban areas from engaging in demagoguery against less-populated areas of the country. And it still applies in 2016.

Everyone simply needs to google “Chesterton’s fence”.

It explains why what they are doing is ignorant lunacy.

This time around, talk of the Electoral College is really talk about Pennsylvania's 20 votes that put Trump over the top, which is really about the rank-and-file union workers who defected to Trump.

That means that liberals are really attacking one of the traditional pillars of the Democrat party, namely white working-class industrial wage earners.

2/3rds vote in the House and Senate.

2/3rds of states agree.

But libs have 2/3rds of an IQ point, and think that they have a chance in hell.

You take away the votes in California and New York, Trump wins by 3.4 million votes.

If we had a popular vote, Trump would've camped out in New York and California and made those votes up easily

They are free to work towards amending the Constitution of the United States if they wish to do so.

Ultimately, every proposed amendment requires the approval of 3/4 of the states (or 38 out of 50).

Remind me, please: HOW many states did Hillary Clinton win in the 2016 presidential election?

A moment to savor.....Hollyweirdos are going ballistic.

.....the Center for Responsive Politics reports Clinton pocketed $22 million in contributions from the wealthy/liberal entertainment industry, compared to a mere $290,000 for Trump...

Take a look at the map of what Clinton won....the top 10 populations centers where most of the wealth, commerce and power is located.....and a couple of SW states that have a huge influx of Mexican immigrants.

Hillary lost the bulk of America.

Just goes to prove....the liberal rich talk only amongst themselves and their hired Mexican help.

3/4 of the states must agree.
