I’ve said it before. If the blue states want to divide their electoral votes in proportion to the popular vote in their states then that’s their prerogative. Nobody’s stopping them.

First, why try to ruin a good meme? :-)

Don't you want Hollywood liberals to turn on the nation's out of work auto workers and coal miners?

Second, PA was one of the first states to close the polls and begin counting, while the ones you cited (AK and AZ) were still open for three more hours before they even began counting. Early calls for small states were based on history trends and exit polls, so PA was the state that Fox News called (as well as AP and PBS-NPR) that put Trump over the top as far as TV viewers were concerned.

Rather than abolishing the Electoral College, I favor abolishing California.

There should be two new conservative red states and one blue costal state

Why do they want to do away with the Electoral College?

2010 Census

Urban population - 249,253,271, representing 80.7% of the population.

Rural population - 59,492,276, representing 19.3% of the population.

==

Red covers a lot of territory, but those smaller blue areas hold much larger populations.

Yeah, no surprise here. Figured that we’d be in for another round of this. Jeez, they’ve not even finished counting all of the votes yet.

These supporters don’t seem to realize that a) the votes are still being counted, b) less than 1% separates the candidates, meaning recounts are just about a given — across an entire nation, not just in one state, c) flurries of vote and voter challenges, d) irregularities in the recounts and lots of sudden votes.

If we had this, the federal government would have to set up the rules for voting, not the states, or one state’s rules could give it an unfair advantage.

Remember when all we heard was that Clinton had a firewall in the Electoral College and that Donald Trump had such a narrow path to victory. Remember? No one was really making an issue out of the Electoral College prior to election day.

Democrats get a built-in 104 EVs from three states (Cali, Illinois, and NY), and they get them for free. No campaigning is really necessary for Dems in those states. The only reliable Rep state that offers 20+ EVs is Texas (38).

If we had a popular vote, more Republicans would likely turn out in places like California and New York if they thought their vote would really count. Many Republicans in solid blue states probably don’t bother to vote currently.

Sixteen years, and no DNC grass-roots effort yet for a Constitutional Amendment to eliminate the Electoral College? ROTF.

Make lists of the names of all these people that are mentioned in the media as associated with this situation
