If true, I REALLY like the fact that Trump will be using his VP in an important role. I always thought it was stupid to waste the talents of the VP, assuming of course a President had the self-confidence to pick a good one.

No doubt none of Trump’s corporate VP types were purely ornamental.

The media is happily diving into speculation and breathlessly reporting this as chaos inside the Trump team. This is how it's going to go from now on - any move that is made will be criticized and looked at as a potential 'gotcha' moment for a misstep, no matter how small. Like it's been said, when democrats are in power, the media is the defense team, when anyone else is they are the prosecution.

Good news on both fronts.

Pence is more consistently conservative than Christie, and Christie has some issues with the NJ Bridgegate thing. Christie will be able to serve as an advisor in some capacity, but I don’t see him in cabinet level position.

Before Guiliani was mayor of New York, he was the U.S. Attorney that took down the New York mafia. He has been consistently their for Trump throughout the campaign. He would make a great attorney general.

I would guess Pence will be one of the strongest and most influential VP’s in modern history. Trump has a good one and hopefully puts him in the bulldozer with no reverse gear.

It’s not enough to drain the swamp, you have to spike all the gators, too.

There is nothing credible on Bob Corker becoming Secretary of State. And by the way, Cruz supported the Corker Bill.

And you also said Chris Christie would be VP which didn’t happen.

Give Trump some credit. None of this would be happening with any other 10 candidates you liked more than Trump!

I believe Christie has his own bridge problems to deal with. Not helpful to bring baggage in when you are trying to take the baggage out.

I like Rudy but wasn’t he the one pushing for them to confirm Loretta Lynch saying that she would make “an exceptional Attorney General”?

As long as his close relationship with Paul Ryan isn’t problematic. For example, my biggest fear is if Ryan’s allie Priebus gets in as chief of staff. That wouldn’t be just a matter of bringing a fox into the hen house—it would be putting a fox in charge of the hen house.

The other day Giuliani implied that he was up for the task. Not so sure but would be a welcome sight.

This is Pence’s wheelhouse, let him roll. Good idea to take Christie out of the limelight for a while although I still hope he has a big role. The transition period needs to focus on putting a new government together not being drawn off with distractions. That includes the likes of Rush, Levin, et al who will be sniping from the sidelines and second-guessing every decision.

Levin's criticism of Christie was constructive criticism and not sniping. And apparently Trump agrees with it.

And I would also point out that Levin said that the Trump presidency has a chance to be the best presidency ever.

Now wouldn't that be something if that happens.

I am merely asking a question. Like I said, he was a great mayor of NY.

‘I wish someone would take his Twitter account away.’

Agree. It’s 1990, and there’s no such thing as social media. Hillary didn’t pay 6 million for rented online shills to promote her. Trump didn’t have 14 million (volunteer) 0twitter followers to obliterate the lies and smears spread by Hillary’s online rent-a-mob. TV ads are all politicians need these days. Ignore the Internet, and it will go away.

Good move. I’ve felt a little uneasy having CC in charge of such an import task. I trust Pence to pick better folks.
