Conservative columnist George Will is often keen on saying that Barry Goldwater, the man who suffered one of the most catastrophic defeats in American political history, was actually the victor. Will often states that, “We — 27,178,188 of us — who voted for him in 1964 believe he won, it just took 16 years to count the votes.”
Will is of course referring to the massive landslide which Ronald Reagan won in 1980, thus leading to a phenomenon known as the “Reagan Revolution.” Un-coincidentally, Goldwater gave Reagan his start in politics with the former’s failed presidential campaign. Reagan famously made his “Time for Choosing” speech in prime time days before the 1964 election before becoming Governor of California and later, President, running on the same small government, strong national defense, and “law and order” platform which Goldwater promoted.

Will is GOPe. The only reason he’d have anything good to say about Mrs. Palin or Barry Goldwater is because the latter is long dead and the former went back to private life after being establishment raped. Krauthammer=Turner=Will.
And in contrast one thing which both Palin and Trump share is a deep, the word mystical comes to mind, regard for Israel and the Jewish people.
I don’t really know if I’d include Wallace in a list of great conservatives like Reagan, Palin, and Trump like the article does. He was definitely better than Nixon, but held too many pro-New Deal opinions.
You should know by now that it is a tradition to post before reading the article.
The fact that Palin is in Trump’s camp makes things burn all the more for the red diaper babies and their snowflakes. May they all fizzle into obscurity . . . the few of them who would undermine the USA.

I have always thought of Trump as Palin 2.0
She did very well in spite of that 'handicap' I'd say. If she had been a lefty the leftist media would have gushed over her and possibly attempted to vault her to be the first woman President.
Speaking of the first female Prez; America dodged a bullet by NOT electing the worst example of a woman just as America did not dodge a bullet by electing the first Gay/Muslim/Kenyan President who is a phony by all accounts.

I read the article and as I pointed out by private message to several others, I simply missed it. I must have been in an especially generous mood and still in a pleasant daze about the election.
It would have been a positive development for a formerly good writer . . . oh well.
