I agree. Let’s welcome some new conservatives who will be able to serve for a number of years. I think Sheriff Joe’s ego just cannot accept being out of that job. He has had his career already, and is lucky that he could walk away from it.

That is the proper position.

Nobody needs to head the Department Of Homeland security in Trump's administration because that Department is one of the redundant alphabet bureaucracies Trump promised to eliminate. If you examine the mission, it precisely duplicates the mission of the Coast guard. During WW2, the Korean conflict, and the opening stages of Vietnam the Coastguard guarded airports and railways.

Shut it down.
