Another dramatic turn of events is being reported out of North Carolina this afternoon: Donald Trump has jumped past all expectations in early voting!
In 2012, Romney hit Election Day down 447,000 votes, based on early ballots. He went on to win the state by 97,000 votes.
Now, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal, Trump opens Election Day down 305,000!
EDITOR'S NOTE: A poll going into this week had Trump nearing 50% in the Old North state.

I really do think NC is in the bag unless the independents lean Clinton or turnout tomorrow stinks.
So, now the dems know they need to gin up 142,001 at a minimum.
Great news...LS (bless you sir, you’ve helped me keep me sanity) has had NC as ‘America’ for at least a week. This plus the Utah polling should keep all Romney states in the America column.
Trump consistently outperforming Romney is good news.
For the life of me, I can't see how Clinton can win.

Agree. I never understood the media telling everyone that NC was by default a Hillary stronghold.
The early voting numbers are making me feel really good not only for NC and Florida, but also for for states with no early voting such as New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
No complacency though... everyone go vote!!
That translates to a 5 point in NC for Trump, assuming everything else follows to the 2012 pattern. But I have a hard time believing Hillary will match Obama’s 2012 performance, even with additional voter fraud.

Romney was a disaster and a loser!
we are told every election that independents win elections, and Trump is easily winning with them, so how the hell can Clinton think she can win?
Unless of course Broward county here in FL has done more voter fraud than usual.
