Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump won a legal battle on Sunday when a U.S. appeals court in Ohio removed new restrictions on partisan poll watchers that Democrats had sought to prevent Election Day voter intimidation.

The rules overturned by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals would have imposed greater penalties on people who harass voters during Tuesday's election.

Voter intimidation already is prohibited under U.S. law but Democrats have pushed for greater restrictions in Ohio and five other battleground states, citing concerns that Trump's heated rhetoric might inspire Election Day chaos.

Someone should appeal the Philadelphia ban on stopthesteal.com reps monitoring Philly polls, and use this case as precedence.

Could that lead-in be any more biased? Watching a polling place for irregularities is voter intimidation??

Paulie knows that Trump will be the 45th president.

He is back-pedaling in order to get on the good side of the man who, come Tuesday night, will be known to the world as President-Elect Donald J. Trump.

Must be a reference to post 7 and the Scotus/ Arizona ballot case. Three threads below.

If you read the original court order, it literally banned people from mentioning the penalties for voter fraud, from loitering in the polling places, from passing out literature about voter fraud, from asking people if they were citizens or if they were eligible to vote, from filming people entering or leaving the polling places, etc. etc., with a $1,000 bond to be posted by all violators.

It was tailor made to allow maximum Dem fraud. Dem appointee, can't remember now if Clinton or Obama.

Why would any voter be intimidated by being watched, unless they were up to no good?

It’s the Dem poll workers that need to be watched, especially in South Florida.
