“The Department of Justice will continue to do everything in its power to help the city of Chicago combat gun violence,” Attorney General Eric Holder said in July 2014, vowing to keep up “the federal government’s ongoing commitment to helping local leaders ensure Chicago’s streets are safe.”

If the feds were to actually prosecute and incarcerate those that commit these “gun crimes”, the cries of racism and black lives matter would be deafening.

I seem to remember Chicago PD boasting the really huge number of guns they have taken off the streets. You got to assume a large number of them were taken from prohibited persons, yet the city doesn’t have the stomach to put huge numbers of blacks in prison.

Of course the Fed will fight against gun violence with the same vigor of defending our borders, enforcing our laws, vetting musscums etc...

--I'd have run out of title space to explaining that the C S-T had a fairly neutral "gun" piece and usually anything whatsoever from it or the Tribune deserve an alert---

--this morning for example neither of them had anything visible on the e-editions about Hillary, Podesta, etc.,---all baseball---
